Because of what I have seen and e-heard I have decided to get the Tome of Battle. However, I have a rather low budget and all of the offers I found were for about £50. Does anyone know where I can get one for under £25?

I've never heard of them before, so you might want to look into it a little deeper to see if there's a catch.

Not legally. But note that Warblade (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20060802a&page=2) is online, as are maneuver cards (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/we/20061225a). Between the two, you ought to be able to get your feet wet.

Between these two links, you literally have 95% of what you need to run a Warblade. The other two base classes in Tome of Battle, Crusader and Swordsage, are also excellent (Crusader's probably my favorite class in 3.x), plus there's myriad prestige classes and feats in ToB that are worth your while, but if nothing else having the Warblade and the maneuvers freely online means that no one ever has to run a Fighter again, which to my mind is wonderful.

The only thing missing is the rules on Initiator Level: it's equal to your initiating base class level, plus half your other levels (there's some specifics for how to deal with other initiating base classes and initiating prestige classes, but those details don't matter if all you've got is the Warblade). You can only learn maneuvers that have a level no greater than half your Initiator Level, rounded up (a la Wizard).

The major online auction site and a lot of hard work. I think I tried to get it in about 25 or 30 auctions before I got for less than $20.
