Energy drain soul eater

Can you please help me make soul eater energy drain with weapon instead of a touch. It states that I drain a level with a touch, can it be somehow optimised so I can deal damage with my weapon also?

Libris Mortis Page 77 Necrotic Focus does exactly that. It is a +3 Bonus albeit.
