Cool to see these.

I'm noticing that this list has some of the weird stuff I was trying to weed out at the end of the last thread -
Off my head, AEG Scout and Marksman are labeled gishes, but neither has any magical abilities, and Deadlands Brave is labeled a buffer, but it doesn't have any buffs.

I was about to question why there were no classes from the Devil's Players Guide, but then realized that they are 3.0. They should be included to though because of 3.0 stuff being so adaptable, but of course I don't know if are only using 3.5 so look up the Devil's Payers Guide if you want its crazy broken.

Dragon Magazine is technically 3rd party, and Dragon Compendium is a Paizo 3.5 book and includes quite a few full classes.

I haven't got all of Dragon Magazine in 3.0-3.5, but I've seen a few.

Dragon Compendium's classes are:

Battle dancer (chaotic unarmed fighter, has full BAB bonus and various special abilities mostly based on Tumble checks)

Death master (arcane, prepared, full caster, cleric BAB, various wizard spells, becomes a lich at 20th level, has an Undead Minion)

Jester (bard type casting, various special abilities mostly based on Perform (comedy)

Mountebank (rogue-like, infernal abilities, becomes a half-fiend at 20th level)

Savant (Jack of all trades- rogue abilities, cleric abilities, wizard abilities, all much lower in power than those 3 classes. A Skillmonkey too.)

Sha'ir (arcane full caster, has access to several divine domains, elemental themed spells, elemental familiar. Unusual process of preparing spells- they are "retrieved" by the familiar)

Urban Druid- (city themed abilities, has access to unusual companions (like animated objects, vermin, etc) can wildshape into humanoids, non humanoids on the companion list, objects, and animated objects.)

Don't forget that at level 20 the mountebank becomes an NPC :smallsigh:

Could someone help me compile Dragon Magazine classes? I'll include variant classes like chaos monk and wild monk or sidhe druid...

There's currently a single DM class on there: the mlar (Tier 6 NPC class...)

I'll add DMC tonight, and also begin making a table for official WotC classes in my third post (2nd reserved post).

Time to start digging... I'm assuming you don't want prestige classes, including variants of existing ones, or Savage Species-type monster progressions.

Dragon 310:
Fighter variants- typically with different class skills, different Fighter Bonus feats list, and 2 or more special ability options that might be gained for free, and/or that can be taken in place of feats. Sometimes different weapon and armour proficiencies.

Bodyguard, Commander, Corsair, Exoticist, Fencer, Horseman, Kensai, Knight, Pugilist, Shield Bearer, Survivalist, Targetteer.

Monk fighting style variants- preselected 1st, 2nd and 6th level bonus feats, unlike the standard monk which can choose those- and in return, a skill bonus, and a special ability at 6th level (if they meet prerequisites for it at that point).

Cobra Strike, Denying Stance, Hand and Foot, Invisible Eye, Overwhelming Attack, Passive Way, Sleeping Tiger, Undying Way

Other monk variants:
Holy Monk, Hunter Monk, Martial Monk, Raging Monk, Steadfast Monk, Vigilant Monk

Paladins of Other Alignments
Anarch (CN), Incarnate (N) Enforcer (LN) Sentinel (NG) Avenger (CG)

Urban Ranger

Dragon 311:
Cleric variants:
Ancestral Speaker, Arcane Disciple, Aspirant, Benevolent, Crusader, Evangelist

Druid variants
Wild Reaper, Wind Walker, Metal Master, Winter Warden

Dragon 312:
Evil Paladin Variants
Despot (LE), Corrupter (NE), Anti-Paladin (CE)

Wizard (necromancer specialist) variants
Deathwalker, Fleshcrafter, Soul Reaper

Dragon 315: Sha'ir class- repeated/updated in Dragon Compendium

Dragon 317: Urban Druid class- repeated/updated in Dragon Compendium

Dragon 318: Ninja class- repeated/updated in Complete Adventurer

The rest tend to be somewhere in the later Class Acts columns.

hamishspence
2012-05-03, 03:25 PM

I'll list all the classes I recall from WoTC-published products (not counting the already-done Diablerie ones). I'm assuming no D20 Modern, D20 Call of Cthulhu, etc. If a class comes in multiple versions with slightly different abilities I'll list all, if it's simply reprinted twice, I'll only list the most recent book with it:

Oriental Adventures:
Samurai, Shaman, Shugenja, Sohei, Wu Jen
Ghostwalk:
Eidolon, Eidoloncer (Ghost only)
PHB:
Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer, Wizard
DMG:
Adept, Aristocrat, Commoner, Expert, Warrior
Miniatures Handbook:
Healer, Marshal
Dragonlance Campaign Setting
Mystic, Noble
Complete Warrior
Hexblade, Samurai, Swashbuckler
Expanded Psionics Handbook
Psion, Psychic Warrior, Soulknife, Wilder
Complete Divine
Favoured Soul, Shugenja, Spirit Shaman

Well, I didn't see them using a word search, so, there's always the classes from the infamous Book of Erotic Fantasy. No tier information since I'm not so inclined on the kind of rigor for which that asks.

Imagist- Divine Sorceror with a cohort a la Leadership (no followers), Sanctuary X/Day, and the ability to grant other party members Smite Evil similar to the Paladin ability.

Kundala- Monk-like (Flurry of Blows, Unarmed Strikes, Purity of Body, Wholeness of Body, and Diamond Body) with Ranger/Paladin-esque spell progression, a weaker Rage with no drawback, and the ability to Polymorph into Medium or Small humanoids/day, eventually becoming a shapechanger. (Next Monkday topic: Kundala versus Monk.)

Tantrist- Arcane caster with domain spells, inscribes spells on his body instead of a spellbook (mechanically the same, just can't be stolen), and needs an additional hour "with someone else, if you know what I mean, wink wink," to regain spells. +1 CL to Evocation, -1 CL to Illusion and Necromancy, and a couple of casting bonus feats.

:smallannoyed: What, don't look at me like that, someone was going to bring it up.

I don't see Hero's of the Jade Oath, the Oriental Adventures for Arcana Evolved, or Iron heroes. Also if we are going really obscure, The demonwars Saga RPG and the Warcraft RPG/World of Warcraft RPG aren't here, or are you not counting adaptations/did I lose them in the massive number. As to Dragon Lance, just check the "official" tier class list, it should tell you. These are all of the official classes
