Hey, guys. I have an odd question. I'm trying to get a Barbarian with 13 Constitution to get at least a -2 penalty to each hit point roll (preferably more). I'm looking for ways that will make this penalty permanent (such as the Frail flaw). Is there anything that can help me with this?

Umm, this may seem like an obvious question, but why on Earth would you want to do this?

My guess would be so the alternative barbarian strength class feature from UA would always be active.

One of the traits in AU ( quick ) imposes -1 hp level.

The frail flaw in unearthed arcana gives -1 hp per level.
EDIT: That was right in the first post, I feel smart.

I would expect a character based around the final strike feat, well unless it's for some IC reason.

Try BoVD you can try mutilating your body to loose 10 max HP and gain 1 natural armor you can use this as many times as you want. I have made characters with -9 max HP and

Do you have a page number for this?

Berserker Strength from PHBII.

Berserker Strength from PHBII.

Bah, I didn't get any of it right, I'll actually look things up next time.

Grafts in Magic of Eberron cost a fixed amount of HP, 2 to 8 each IIRC.

All I need to complete my build is either one more way to reduce hp/level by one, or something that allows you to reduce your max hp by 1-3 points by level three. Any ideas?

Be venerable! Of cause, this comes with loss of both dex and strength, so might be more hampering then helpful. But on the plus side you could join Cohen and The Silver Horde.

If you are a kobold there is a ritual thing in Races of the Dragon that reduces max HP by 1 and gives you a cantrip to use once per day.

Is the Strength penalty worth it though? For Arctic kobolds it's only -2, but it's still a Strength penalty on a race you're choosing in order to play a Barbarian.

Unfortunately, the Kobold won't work. Part of the build involves being a Warforged. Also, I forgot to mention this, but I need a way of acquiring the HP penalty between levels two and three. The grafts that avr mentioned would work if one of them was just 100 GP cheaper to fit the level three WBL.

Just start in debut no big deal other than the fact the DM will make the loan sharks always 2 levels higher than you, but you can pay back 100 gold nice and quick.

This is for a Theoretical Optimization build. It can't include anything like relying on a loan.

There are feats like Beauty's Bounty that replace Constitution for 1st level HP, but not thereafter, or Faerie Mysteries Initiate, which simply replaces CON for as long as you do the yearly ritual. Would that lower your HP far enough?

Using the self mutilating trick from the BoVD you could arguably deal a fraction of 10 damage to yourself, but not gain the natural armor from it.

If this is to get permanent Berserker's Strength and you are a Warforged, remember that Warforged do not heal naturally. You could simply not repair yourself or allow others to heal or repair you, thus forever staying below the hp threshold required to activate the ability.

Some Legacy weapons come with hp penalties.
