I was curious what this means:

Damage Reduction 5/+1<------
What is this little +1 hanging on to the end of my DR :(

It means that a +1 weapon (or higher) is required to pierce this damage reduction.

Also, this is an obsolete format. In 3.5, all /+N damage reductions have been collapsed into /magic, meaning that any magic weapon pierces it.

That would explain it.

Well, not all, begining to +3, some have become aligned DR.

And there's also DR/Epic (See: Solar). I think that takes the place of the old DR/+5 and above.

The template I was observing is IN FACT 3.0 (Good call sir). On a side note, the newly updated 3.5 version has DR/Good instead of +1 so I believe this issue is solved. Thanks guys.

Generally speaking, it's DR <number>/<property>, meaning that the value of the resistance is <number>, and a <property> weapon will bypass it.

Epic is +6 and above, because you can't get a +6 weapon until epic.

I was aware of that but I didn't associate +1 with a +1 weapon because I started playing really in 3.5, so the idea of needing a specific bonus wasn't in my head yet. But thanks.

I know. I meant to say that (and I may be mistaken), some monsters from before 3.5e (2e and 3e) had DR/+5 and became DR/epic when converted.
