The sun rises bright and early over Misaki City. The spring air is filled with the chirping of birds and the giggling of schoolgirls as they rush to catch their buses to class.

Four individuals in particular are up and about this day: Yomano Tsukagi (http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=390928), Demon Hunter, Azath (http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=390814), Sultan of Nuclear Chaos, Yoko (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=13082846#post13082846), Yog-Sothian Seer, and Haru Kasumi (http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=391458), styled “Greatest Hunter.” Each one hurries out from where he or she spent the previous night, on business of an urgent nature.

Yoko sauntered around the corner onto the main road, headed for school. While there was no need for her to actually attend any institution of learning, her youthful demeanor demanded certain societal appearances be upheld to avoid suspicion. See, unlike some other aliens on this planet, Yoko actually wished to remain under the radar, not being part of any Space government run agency making it doubly so.

She skipped through the intersection with her eyes closed, narrowly avoiding being hit by a speeding motorist. Yoko had been in no danger; she'd already seen it happen and manipulated the original outcome into something desirable; Heizenburg's Uncertainty Principle, she believed the natives called it.

For a Yog-Sothothian, it was simply part of existing. Minor events like that are far easier to manipulate, though; at her current level of seeing, Yoko had doubts about changing the destiny of actions more major, like someone's death.

The school loomed on the horizon as Yoko checked her watch. Hour and a half before first period, just as predicted. Unlike other aliens, she couldn't afford to break her status quot.

Tsukagi walked down the street, stepping lightly in the cool morning air. He took in a a deep breath through his nostrils and adjusted the green apple sucker in his mouth with his tongue. It was a good morning. Quiet at home, except his sister was bothering him to take her to the aquarium. She liked to look at the jellyfish and the sealions.

He was out particularly early this morning to give himself extra time for practice. He had brought the Kendo Club's bokken home for matinence, they were a little clueless, but it gave him an excuse to carry the rather large bundle of swords on his back. Well, he was holding it in one hand, over his shoulder. In his other hand, swung his bookbag slightly.

Inside the bundle of wooden blades, he hid his real one. It was the only way he coul make sure he had it at the school. If he had to maintain the entire club's bokken, oh well. He kept walking the way to school, it wouldn't do to be late.

Haru attempted to sneak in to the school, "attempted" being the key word, pressing her body against the wall at the entrance, while confused students watched her. She waited until the crowd walking in had died down, before dramatically springing off the wall and rushing into the building.
"I know there is evil here!" she yelled, everyone in the vicinity turning at the statement. "I will find and kill it, because I am Haru Kasumi, Greatest Hunter of Evil!" She whipped out her sword dramatically, creating a stampede of students attempting to get away form her. Finally noticing the response of the students, Haru jumped into the first locker she could, sealing herself in. She could wait in here for hours (or so she thought), until her prey finally arrived.

As students ran from sword-wielding maniacs in the halls...again, Yoko continued to revel in her early time schedule. She had been waiting in homeroom for the last half hour, keeping away from the halls and most outside contact. It was all part of her multilayer cover.

She was too smart for her own good, and she knew it. In order to maintain a subdued presence in the school, she had to play dumb. Coming in early was because of "remedial studies". She rarely left on time either for the same reason. Her tests and homework were laced with intentional errors to throw off those who would suspect her of higher than below average intelligence. Sure, she could do complex theoretical equations in her head, but nobody needed to know that.

..."I can't do this anymore." she thought to herself as she slid forward onto her desk, arms forward. If she really wanted to waste eight hours a day watching her vast intellect turning to mush, she'd have stayed home and read those silly boy comics other girls keep forcing on her. There's no coherent narrative, characterization is vapid and shallow, and every chapter ends in some improbable intimate situation. With few exceptions, humanoid anatomy doesn't work that way!

It wasn't long before she fell asleep arguing with herself.

Haru was lucky today. It turns out the locker she was in was owned by a late, instead of absent, student, unlike last time. This time, she would not need to be let out of the locker the next day, parts of her clothing eaten away in a failed attempt to gain sustenance. This time, she would simply fall out, scrabble around on the floor for a moment, and rush to class, something she had completely forgotten about when she locked herself up. The student whose locker she had been inhabiting simply stared for a moment, before picking up his things and going to class. This sort of thing happened at least once a week, so it hardly surprised him anymore.
Haru burst into class, as usual, throwing open the door with force that many would describe as "excessive," before army-man crawling to her desk. As she was surprisingly on time, only 5-minutes late, the teacher had mercy on her and counted her as "present." She crawled into her desk, before putting on the act of a normal student.

Azath stepped from his house with a heavy yawn and a scratch at his side. Once more his foreign dark brown curly hair was in wild seemingly uncontrolled style but it still looked alright. His eyes met the morning light and practically retracted back into his head before he should shield them from the burning.

He had gotten up early so that he could get to school on time this time. Azath headed out his front door and immediately became lost. It took him nearly two hours to walk the 2 miles to school and yet he still ended up their half an hour before class... Regrettable.

Despite his dangerous and foreign appearance and those spiky leather gloves he wears, Azath is inhumanly attractive. It is to a point that anyone that know about things outside the human world can easily tell that is not normal. With enough time for the Tenchi Syndrome to take effect before school starts, Azath ends up running around school trying to hide before class just so that he can have some time alone...... At least it keeps him good on cardio.

Tsukagi set the bokken in the corner as he always did and drew his own sheathed blade from the bundle. He had arrived before the classes for the day had started and began his morning practice as he always did. Cuts, sweeps, slices and flexes were all part of the training routine. His dedication to the sword was why he was in the running to replace the captain of the Kendo Club in the first place. His skill was another thing entirely.

After a half an hour of practice, he sheathed his sword and hid it in the same hiding place in the Kendo Club's room that it had always been hidden in. No one had discovered it yet, so it was fine. He grabbed a wooden booken and headed to his classroom. He set the wooden sword across the top of his desk and pulled out a book he had been reading the last week or so, supposedly a group was working on new techniques to make blades that were harder, sharper and lighter than ever. Why they made a book about it was a mystery, but it was a good read.

Generally, people avoided his desk. He carried the bokken into the classroom every morning and no one said anything. The girls in the corner however... they liked to giggle and gossip and go on about who knows what, but with the amount of looks that came his way, he could fathom what they spoke of. Class started normally enough with attendance, before the slamming of the door announced that the crazy-girl had made it to class, shockingly on time.

"Excuse me, Sensei." The teacher nodded to Tsukagi, who grabbed the bokken from his desk and left the room. He walked down the hall, not a far walk, and stepped through the open doorway. "I'm here to collect Ms. Kasumi's sword. Again."

Azath had his own rather interesting entrance. He was on time, though barely. His clothing and hair seemed even more chaotic than when he work up this morning. The door opened and closed as quickly as his arms could make it go. He leaned against it bracing it with his large body panting heavily as if a horde of zombies or monsters might be on the otherside.

When Azath came to realize he was in his classroom with people looking at him he immediately stood up straight fixed his hair and shirt then calmly walked towards his desk like he never did that,"Mornings right..."

Psionic Bardic Knowledge: [roll0]

Yoko woke with a start to the sound of her name being aggressively called by the teacher. She raised her hand sheepishly, noting the teacher's disapproving look. All according to plan, she thought.

What wasn't going as planned was her being surrounded by the gossip girls again. While they did huddle together fairly tightly to conceal her from prying eyes, there was the chatter. Oh, great Black Goat, the chatter! Her perceived mental deterioration would only accelerate from having to listen to these inane avians squawk for more than just the homeroom period. They had pushed another one of those sordid comics onto her desk, which she accepted with Sobek-like sincerity. Selling them to other interested off-world buyers had been keeping her afloat, but it always felt dirty to accept yet another teen boy-on-boy serial.

That one particularly dedicated-looking boy had been glancing in her direction, before leaving to confiscate the earlier maniac's weapon. That, combined with the foreboding vision Yoko just had, made her feel like something strange was going to happen today, something that could very likely blow her cover. The one upside would be that thinking about the vision would make her absent-minded act genuine for once.

Exhibiting what might be best described as a grim determination, the teacher launches into a geometry lesson. Problems are drawn up on the board, people are called upon randomly, and failures are quietly rebuked and assigned a few extra homework questions.

"Yoko, please come up and do the next question," the teacher's voice calls.

There was an audible "thump" as Yoko's head fell upon her desk. This was literally the one thing she didn't need right now: someone asking her to be smart. Maybe this was what the vision was about? ...Nah, too simple, she thought as she walked to the front of the class, looking at the floor with head down.

She'd solved the problem as soon as she'd looked at it, but that wasn't what was giving her pause. Yoko's reputation as a C-average student depended on messing this up in a thoroughly plausible way, and that meant not thinking.

Unfortunately, being dumb for her was still quite smart for a human. She solved the problem with ease, then proceeded to disprove her own solution using non-Euclidean geometric theories, taking up most of the board and leaving the teacher with his mouth agape. Upon leaving her academic trance, Yoko recoiled in horror and slammed her head against the board, leaving a dark blood stain.

"Sir, I appear to have developed an uncharacteristic level of intelligence, as well as a concussion. May I go to the nurse's office?"

The teacher waved her off as she stumbled out the door and down the hall. Nobody would suspect a thing...perfect cover....ow.

Haru jumped up at the realization they wanted her sword.
"B-but why?" she asked, trying vainly to puppy-dog-eye her way out of trouble. In actuality, she just looked like an idiot.

Tsukagi sighed. It was the same thing every morning. And he was the one stuck doing it because the Captain said so. "As I say almost every time we do this, Haru, you aren't allowed to bring real swords onto school grounds." He gestured with the bokken. "Are you just going to give me the sword today? It'd be a nice change of pace, you know." He prepared himself. She typically chose not to just give it up. "You really should join the Kendo Club. At least you'd get to use a bokken."

I refuse to submit to puppy-dog eyes from the crazy girl.

Tsukagi sighed. Same thing, different day. "It doesn't matter if it's yours. You can't bring it onto school grounds. There is no evil all around like you claim, everyday." He says, exasperatedly. "And I am far superior at fighting than you are, like I say every time we go through this." He held out his hand. "Now give me the sword. If you don't then we're just going to go through the same thing we do every morning."

The teacher frowns at this conversation between students. "All three of you, step outside. Come back when you have finished talking. I have a class to teach."

He turns back to erasing Yoko's higher level math from the board, and setting up the next problem.

Yoko had, in fact, not gone to the nurse, merely stopping by her locker for bandages to wrap around her forehead. Seeing as her blood was roughly the same color as key lime pie filling, anybody with actual medical knowledge would rightly freak out. With the bandages in place, blood had already begun to seep through, leaving a vile green stain. Thinking quickly, Yoko pulled out a red Sharpie and colored over the offending area, positioning her bangs to make the forgery less obvious.

"I will give you it for storage, only because you are too stupid to break it. It's super mega holy like that."
She grinned widely.

Yoko stands at one end of the hall, perhaps 30' away from Azath, Tsukagi, and Haru, who have just been unceremoniously shooed out by the teacher. Suddenly, the lights flicker and go out. The skies outside are stained an unnatural blood red. Dark shadows seem to seep from their locations, coalescing into shapes . . .

(The hall is 10' wide. No enemies have appeared yet, but that may change soon . . . )

With trained practice Azath dropped his backpack and unbuttoned his uniform shirt whipping it away to expose the chain shirt underneath. Then from in his bag he claimed a single gauntlet covered in spikes pulling it on,"...Playtime."

Yoko had an inkling what was going on, but she wasn't quite sure.

Psionic Knowledge

Yeah, this was a Space Barrier put up during monster attacks, usually by a PDF agent. She needed to get out of here fast; she'd had no actual combat training. She was an oracle, empath, seer; no matter what you called it, Yoko could literally not fight to save her life beyond a few mind blasts.

OK, calm down, girl. Just take some deep breaths and focus, get your energy aligned.

With a calm inner mind acheived, Yoko looked ahead of her, seeing a classmate, one she half-suspected of being an alien himself, tearing off his uniform to reveal full armor. Freaking out, she ran up the side of the lockers, rolling into the space between them and the ceiling. Hopefully, she could wait it out up here until things blow over.

Tsukagi drew Haru's blade, which he held in his hand still. "This is not good." He looked out the window at the crimson skies and then back to the group of students gathered in the hallway. "..." He turned and started walking towards the club room. Only his own blade would do for such a turn of events and he went for it, Haru's blade would serve till he retrieved his.

Tsukagi shrugged off the crazy girl with some disdain. "Get off of me!" If she were paying attention, she might feel a stiff material underneath his clothing. "Just stay close to me if you don't want to get hurt." He kept moving, holding Haru's blade in front of him with both hands, the scabbard thrust into his belt. He shifted into a battle stance as he walked.
