Platinum Knight Question (Draconomicon Re-print)

I clearly recall playing platinum knight something like 5 years ago.
He had platinum armor ability which gave you almost free AC8/DEX4 plate.
He also had hoard ability which gave you something like 4000gp bonus at class level 2 and another gold boost at higher levels.

However my recently aquired copy of the book has very different stats. Instead of cool platinum armor knight gets pathetic natural armor bonus and no platinum pieces at all.

So my question is: what version is the latest, why did they change it and when?

You're confusing it with a Dragon-Themed prestige class in Book of Exalted Deeds. I can't remember its name right now.

But platinum knight of bahamut having platinum armor made a perfect sense. :) Who knew there is identical PrC devoted to the same god...:smallbiggrin:

Note that they're both terrible prestige classes, and should be avoided.
