I'm going to be hosting a Horror based game using the Taint & Sanity system (Taint adds more pressure to the players and Sanity is more or less an excuse to allow me to horrify the players with small spells like Silent Image) but I need music to set the mood to make my players more paranoid and suspicious about every little thing I show them :smallamused:

Most recently, there was this (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=241863) thread and I'm sure, there are other in the archives to take inspiration from.

The album Fragment from Musica Cthulhiana is pretty good. Especially seeing how that band makes ambiance music for horror-rpg's.

Nox Arcana, pretty much anything by Nox Arcana.
OST for Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni games - it has loads of creepy soundtracks.

Here's my obligatory link to this thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=210048).

There are several other more recent ones with some very good stuff as well, but I don't have them all bookmarked. Here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=239713) are two (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=188264) from the first three pages of a search just for "music".

Came to say pretty much this. Also searching on things like Grooveshark etc for "Halloween" playlists often yields some interesting results.

In one horror bit of a campaign, the DM looped a song from Silent Hill. (Forget which one, sadly.)

It worked well, at first. Unfortunately, if you play any song long enough with the lights off, the players get very sleepy.

What fun dreams they must've had!

Several songs by E Nomine are good picks, though perhaps more bossfight, less general spooky dungeoncrawl.

Try looking up Midnight Syndicate (I actually found them looking for the Official D&D soundtrack that they put out). I mentioned this in one of the past music threads but it's just too awesome NOT to suggest when given the chance.
