Does Practice Manifester from Complete psionics pg 57 increases Power points for a psion? It says on the feat that it doesn't increase powers known or powers per day, but my players argues that's for table 2-3 on Expanded pcionics handbook. meaning that a 1st lvl psion, 4 lvl wizards will have 2 power points and 3 powers known, BUT from table 2-1, if he has int 18, he will get 10 bonus power points. Is this right?

He argues that the practice caster feat on the wizard side gives extra dmg on spells, from higher Caster lvl and so the Practice manifester gives extra PP because all of the psion powers give extra dmg, only with augment.

Anyway, that`s how we were playing it so far and I didn't mind but another player brought it to our attention.

He will get better bonus PP due to a high intelligence, but no improvement to his base power points.

To clarify, it will increase the bonus PP from high ability score (since that is based on manifester level), but not the PP from the class, since that is based on class level, not manifester level.

So when it says:
"How To Determine Bonus Power Points: Your key ability
score grants you additional power points equal to your
key ability modifi er × your manifester level × 1/2."

You calculate your manifester level based on the improved result, because of your Practiced manifester (Psion 1/fighter 4 = 5 manifester lvl)

Correct. Bonus Power Points are calculated based on the increased manifester level.

So let's say you have a Psion 6 / Fighter 4, with an intelligence of 22. You have Practiced Manifester, making your Manifester Level 10. To calculate the power points, you would take the power point total of a Psion 6 (class granted PP), and add bonus power points based on your augmented manifester level (6 (int mod) x 10 (manifester level) = 60 x 0.5 = 30).
