It also makes sure that no image is wider than 600px, to avoid stretching pages, and will attempt to "intelligently" remove repeated images except avatars. Neat, huh? Sadly that last part means stuff like pony emotes may get lost but the forum doesn't make it easy for me to single out images in quotes as I'd have liked... that's an open problem, I guess.

Tested in Firefox, Chrome and Opera. Should work in any modern browser, but you never know with these things.

Generaly, normal creatures would fall apart into bubbaly goo. Undead, however? Lightning makes us tickle, and even Pink-one infused lightning is still lightning. Heck, it might even damage my minons slightly, but otherwise Chaos, Pink-flovored or otherwise, weakens in power the father you stray from the original essance of, well, chaos.

Screenwriting format is hard and awful. You have to give up every single linguistic quirk and tendency towards beautiful description and enjoyment of language to write something cold, hard and comprehensible. I did an entire course on it. Screenwriting is to writing what graphing programs are to painting.

Well, first off, the Pink One is a abomination against nature, and her spawn and heirs are mearly lesser forms of her sanity-blasting might. It is my duty to help contain the threat and hopefuly be there the day she gets sealed for good. I run a cult. She is another god. You ( Igor) of all people should understand where I am going with this.

Secondly, she is very much a creature of Positive Energy, it's just that her minons? Not so much. Yes, they are powerful, but it's abit like saying you should fear a mutated creature as much as the irradiation that spawned it. The Chaos energy is dominant in her servents, thankfuly, because thats what give them there warped quality. The pink bolt fired by the pink rodent would be comprised of equal parts lightning and chaos energy, with the slightest dash of positve energy that would be negated by the lightning part of the attack.

I was wondering if you could clarify a few things I've been pondering in my daily life. First, you describe The Pink One as an abomination against nature, but then describe some elements of a nature she possesses, what about her is abominable or directed against nature? Second, undead, I understand how the term came into being, but it's not really very descriptive, there are a lot of things that aren't dead, and more things to which the concept of death cannot be easily applied that it doesn't traditionally cover. Is there any movement to come up with something more descriptive? Do you purposefully use the term to change peoples perception of it? I'm always unsure about what your thoughts on the matter were.

I think Bon Bon doesn't mind much, and Lyra's quirky energy provides a nice foil to her more level-headed attitude. Sure, there are days when she'd like nothing more to bop the crazy right out of Lyra's head, but then again, who else could get her to spend an evening huddled up behind some bushes, waiting for the "hugh-mans" to arrive? Life's just a little more adventurous with her around.

And once again, the solution to our problems is to murder Thanqol. I think we need to review our problem-solving procedures. So far they seem to consist of a three-point list:


Murder Thanqol.
Fire all OFCs.
Devise and enact better solution to problem.


Although the first two points are sometimes interchangeable. If Thanqol is unavailable, we fire all OFCs twice, then look for a better solution until he shows up.

I'm not saying it's bad or ineffective, but for a collective of all sorts of almost-all-powerful beings, this is sort of uncreative. We can do better than that! We never even tried to fire Thanqol out of an OFC!

Probably about mile and a half out. Lasers are surprisingly long lived. Fire one, and that thing will go on for days. For my standard cannon rounds, probably half a mile when all factors are acounted for.

And my FFC, well, I have no clue how far that thing can fire. :smallconfused:

The helicarrier isn't an airship, it's a heli...copter-y thing. But not, technically, an airship, on account of the whole "heli" part.



Fun fact: the US airforce did briefly toy with the idea of an airship carrier in the 1930s. However, both experimental vessels, the ZRS-4 Akron and the ZRS-5 Macon suffered crashed within two years of each other (due to a combination of weather, operator error (mostly in navigation) and mechanical failures) and the idea was subsequently scrapped. Probably for the best for all concerned, since the survivability of airships against a concerted attack by WW2 fighters would have been dubious at best.

Somebody should try to pressure Thanqol into submission, so that he releases the Ponythread from his clutches (and perhaps back into Trixie's). One way I know to be marginally successful in getting at him is an art war. Especially now, when he is weak due to finals. All we need is a few good artists and some good ideas. And I'm fresh out of good ideas. Just used up the last one I had.

Somebody should try to pressure Thanqol into submission, so that he releases the Ponythread from his clutches (and perhaps back into Trixie's). One way I know to be marginally successful in getting at him is an art war. Especially now, when he is weak due to finals. All we need is a few good artists and some good ideas. And I'm fresh out of good ideas. Just used up the last one I had.

And once again, the solution to our problems is to murder Thanqol. I think we need to review our problem-solving procedures. So far they seem to consist of a three-point list:


Murder Thanqol.
Fire all OFCs.
Devise and enact better solution to problem.


Although the first two points are sometimes interchangeable. If Thanqol is unavailable, we fire all OFCs twice, then look for a better solution until he shows up.

I'm not saying it's bad or ineffective, but for a collective of all sorts of almost-all-powerful beings, this is sort of uncreative. We can do better than that! We never even tried to fire Thanqol out of an OFC!

As the applied material grows, it's natural that there must be a narrower selection. I was wondering, however, if that selection might be biased by the categories that EQD has established.

EQD has recurring segments on art, music, PMVs, fanfics and a few other things, as well as features posts with important news or particularly great things. Consider an application that doesn't really fit into any of the predefined boxes, and while not being significant enough to warrant a lone post may (perhaps due to not fitting the boxes) be of interest to the fandom.

Do you believe there's a risk that even something that qualitatively would have passed might not get featured due to lack of a venue?

I suppose that's a possibility, but given the volume of submissions they see every day I don't think their criteria are unreasonable. If you're worried about missing something, check the MLP subreddit (http://www.reddit.com/r/mylittlepony/) every once in a while too.

I'm always impressed by how thoroughly Star Wars has ingrained itself into nerd culture, even to this day. But honestly, it's been surpassed many times in the last 35 years. Two very good movies and a double-scoop helping of nostalgia have propelled it far beyond what the franchise has earned on its own merits. It was a very influential film, of course, but I'm not lining up to kiss its ring as the pinnacle of soft science fiction, because honestly it doesn't deserve the adoration it still commands.

It falls into the category of movies that I came in expecting very little, and ended up being pleasantly surprised. And for a 3D movie, it manages to avoid throwing things directly at the screen too often. It's certainly worth at least a viewing.

One of the tubmlr blogs I follow has recently gone on a binge of some rather good changeling theorizing/headcanon. A fair warning; it gets pretty dark at times, but given that changelings are beasts that suck love out of marshmallow ponies, it's really to be expected.

I am confused as to why Fluer is on the sexiest pony list at all, but other than that cool!

(I only ever liked that body type when I accidentally drew Silver Lining that way, once.)


Compared to season two, they were both mediocre. I loved them at the time, but they've been far overshadowed by almost everything that came after.


To each their own! I like the impact from season 1 songs even if they aren't as good song wise.

Interesting question. Well, nothing is ever realy distroyed by the plane, but it generaly effects living objects like, for instance, basic Necromanic powers. Lots of nasty stuff, but those properly protected can survive quite easly. It only seems so hard to get past because no one has actualy attempted to get past it besides blasting something in my general direction.

It simply attacks what makes someone living, rather than actualy break down the bonds that make up a living creature. Hence, anyone with the right cloak can take a brisk walk around the land without much harm. I suppose you could say that it attacks only one thing, but that one thing is found in every living creature in existance. That one thing is Positive Energy, and unfortunatly most creatures need that to live.

I had another crazy pony dream, this one the Utimate Crossover, with Ultimate Shipping!
There was this place, like a camp of some kind. Everypony was there. And Redcloak, our favorite goblin overlord, was gathering an army of changelings to take over (the world, probably), while Xykon was apparently trying to love-poison (that's a verb, right?) Redcloak for inscrutable reasons. Only problem, there were hundreds, maybe thousands of Xykon clones, and they were all trying to do that, and whoever cloned them forgot to give them brains or something.

So picture this (it was actually a really impressive scene in my mind): Hundreds of mindless Xykon clones storming through the camp to find Redcloak, each carrying a little vial of evil-looking love poison. But they can't find Redcloak, and all the evil black and red smoke of the poisons coalesce into a giant floating heart which explodes like a tsunami of love poison which floods the entire camp and makes everypony fall in love with somepony!

Little odd transition scene: Luna lying on her back, using a spoon to throw a pea at something. :smallconfused: I have no clue... some kind of symbolism?

Then, among the massive love-induced chaos of ponies everywhere, there's Luna madly in love and hunting down Twilight, but Twilight is in love with and looking for Big Mac instead.

And... I think there was some more leading up to all this, but I can't remember much of it.

Also, that poster has lasers, spaceships and explosions. If we fit ponies, ninjas and pokemon in, we'll have something that can make the Commodore's skull explode again. That's always fun.

One of the tubmlr blogs I follow has recently gone on a binge of some rather good changeling theorizing/headcanon. A fair warning; it gets pretty dark at times, but given that changelings are beasts that suck love out of marshmallow ponies, it's really to be expected.

Well, their second thread was 300 pages long, and if one thread= 50 pages doesn't that add a couple more threads to their number? Also, their first and third threads were 77 and 63 pages in length, which adds an additional 40 pages to their list. Though it is still fairly impressive we have come close to doing in a bit less then two years what has taken them about six.

I think you've mixed up the concepts of a statement of intent with the realisation of that statement, sport.

On that note, I'm instituting a new rule:

Before conquering or attempting to conquer Ponythread, any prospective tyrant must make it known what he intends to do with a conquered Ponythread.

I'll call it the "Frivolous coup" clause.
