View Full Version : Pregen Eberron iconics... in Pathfinder

So, I'm starting a second campaign tomorrow, a Pathfinder Red Hand of Doom campaign in Eberron.
I want to have 5 iconic pregens ready in case someone does not want to make a character. But is iconic in Eberron, anyway? My thoughts so far:

Warforged
Changeling
Shifter
Kalashtar
A dragonmarked character
a Talenta halfling dinossaur rider
a Xen'drik scorpion drow

That's more than 5, though, and I don't have classes to match with the iconic races. It's a 5th level game. Any help here?

Warforged - Warblade 1 / Fighter 2 / Warblade 2 (1st and maybe 2nd fighter racial sub levels)
Changeling - Beguiller 5 (Or Rogue 1 / Beguiller 4 with 1st rogue racial sub level)
Kalashtar - PsyWar 5
Shifter - Druid 5 (1st and 4th racial sub levels)
Dragonmarked (mark of making) human - Artificer 5

Wow... somehow i entirely missed the "in pathfinder" bit.

players won't prepare their characters? really? outside cons, this actually happens? and you play with them? :smallconfused: to each his own.

well, lets see:
- warforged: usually a martial class or an artificer, or perhaps a little bit of both? adamantium armor a must.

- changeling: rogue or bard, with substitution levels. perhaps a level or two as wizard for the morphic familiar (again, substitution levels)

- shifter: a ranger or druid. possibly with either swift wing, wild hunt or dream sight features, though a lot love razor claw (wolverine type)

- Kalashtar: psion, telepath.

- dragonmarked character depends on the dragonmark patially. a bit at a loss here as well. i think the orien dimension hop power is useful, and might benefit a rogue (get to flank, escape trouble), ranger, or caster.

hey- you can make the dragonmarked character a priest of Kol Korran, looking to spread the benefits of his/ her house. might be a nice twist, though not exactly iconic. back on track-

- talenta halfling: ranger/ druid/ barbarian. as long as it's not civil. druid and ranger gets you the dinosaur easiet, but the wild cohort feat can do the same.

- Xen'dric scorpion drow: though iconic, these should be very, very rare in Khorvaire. would be damn weird to explain their involvement. i don't know them enough to suggest a class.

if you're doing hand of RHoD in Eberron, check out Aslan's campaign log- he's done much of the work, and it's an excellent log!

good luck!

No, you misunderstand. They will create their characters, if they want to. I just want a set of pregens if some people don't want to spend any time building a character. 5th level characters take quite some time to build and about half the group is very casual on their gaming.

Thanks for all of your suggestions, I'll look up that log.

good luck!
Thanks a lot!

So, PF, but adapting stuff? Definitely use Warblade or Crusader for the Warforged. If not, make him something like a... Well, no clue.

Changeling Bard, of course.

Shifter Ranger or Druid (because, really).

Kalashtar is obv a Psion (Telepath) or Vitalist (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/classes/vitalist). I recommend the latter if you think there should be a healer.

Dragonmarked should be a rogue or alchemist, if from Cannith- rogue properly represents the skill set of nobility, after all, and Cannith is... Well, crafting minded.

Scorpion Drow should wield a spiked chain and be a Mobile Fighter (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/fighter/archetypes/paizo---fighter-archetypes/mobile-fighter), maybe with 2 extra skill points/level.

Halfling... No clue.

Warforged: Bladebound (That is also its Integrated Weapon) Magus. I have no idea how to go further than that without having to DM fiat some stuff .
Shifter:
Human:Koldun (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=235866) Summoner affiliated with House Cannith
