Building a level 6 elf Warlock\\Scout gestalt for one of my players. I'm wondering what would be some advice for the build?

No Dragon mag, and has to be elf (but the kind of elf could change)

everything else is allowed.

Well, the easiest thing to do would be to make him a ranged specialist to combine EB and Skirmish. Wouldn't be the most amazing build, but would require very little effort to build. Alternatively, you could consider going with a Glaivelock and take the Riposte acf for the Scout, losing Skirmish but gaining extra damage/ac against a foe thats tried to hit you. The last option would require your approval, but you could allow the player to substitute Fast Movement to get pounce (Spirit Lion Totem) allowing him to be a Glaivelock who still has Skirmish.

Eldritch Chain would be pretty good, since it isn't a volley you should be able to apply precision damage to each target.

Since there is really no synergy between pounce and Eldritch Blast (except for eldritch Claws, which is Dragon Magazine) you might consider asking your DM to let you use Hideous Blow on a Spring Attack.

A better option would be a dip into Cleric (since some Warlock builds want a decent Cha, anyway) for Turn Undead and combine that with Travel Devotion/Eldritch Glaive for free movement and full attacks.

Well, if you're houseruling Scout to get Spirit Lion Totem you might houserule eldritch glaive to work in a charge, but usually it doesn't work. Eldritch glaive requires a full-round action.

Actually, both Complete Arcane and Rules Compendium state that when you get multiple attacks per round with a weaponlike spell, you only apply precision damage on the first hit.
Basically, eldritch chain is indeed a volley attack, unfortunatelly. In fact, not even with an eldritch glaive can you apply sneak attack in multiple hits.

Better yet, use Flyby Attack. You can use for ranged and melee, even though Hideous Blow blows hideously. I'd get eldritch claws if at all possible.

Cleric 1 is a very good dip indeed. (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=2773.20) Eldritch glaive is still not that hot on a scout, though - grab eldritch claws if at all possible. Otherwise, between eldritch blast and quickened eldritch blast, you'll be dealing decent damage.
Scout makes it easy to qualify for Cyran Avenger, a CHA-based prestige class that adds extra damaghe potential for a warlock.

Ah yes, forgot that Glaive is a full-round action.
Another alternative is to houserule Hideous Blow to not be as horrible. The one I use changes Hideous Blow to an all-day buff. While it is active, your melee attacks gain the extra damage from eldritch blast, but you cannot use the eldritch blast attack. Dismissing the ability is a standard action.
