fraps help

I need some help with fraps. The videos come out just fine in beautiful hd. They play finr in windows media player. However, when I try to edit the videos in movie maker or adobe premire, the video is just black screen. Waiting for it to render does no good.I thought it might be a codex, but it plays fine, I just can't edit it. Saving the video also produces a blank video.any ideas are appreciated. I've recorded a lot and I wish to share.
