Contingency Spell

So i cast this 6th level spell with another spell 1/3 my caster level a put some conditions on it. Lets say, if my hp reach 0 cast cure light wounds, now the spell lasts a duration of days, and if the terms are met, the spell gets triggered. My question is this, during those days are the 6th lvl and other spell slot used up? Because according to RAW i have cast both spells on the first day
