Oops! wrong section! can the thread be moved to the general gaming forum?

hey folks. still working on a pirating campaign, which will also feature a special villain. she is supposed to be a bit of a cliche, and not overly sophisticated, but i think that if done right- she can be a blast.

note: the written below is supposed to be a cliche taken to extreme, in no ways do myself or the players take it seriously.

it's still in it's initial stages, so some details are missing.

Miss Pretty
Inspiration: a mix of Buffy characters- Glory and Harmony, and of course- Miss Piggy of the muppets. (probably more). being immensely self centered and not too bright are key elements of this villain.

brief background: she was the love interest of another fairly cliche pirate in the campaign (another villain: loot. plunder. gold. women. grog) until finally the cheap bastard married her, offering her a ring of one of his last foray to ruins and such.

but after but a week of marriage, she frowned at him not being more "husbandry", more affectionate, dotting, wrapped around her heel and so on. a big argument broke out till Miss Pretty stormed out saying something like "i wish all other men will worship me and love me like i know i deserve, that you'll end up seeing what you miss."

the wedding ring was, unknown to the two of them, a sort of a wishing ring. a bit after she began to attract the attention of males of all races, who fell in love with her, worshiped her, and fought for her. (For D&D gamers- something like an extra powerful continuous mass charm. this is a plot device, don't go too much into it).

reveling in the new attention, Miss Pretty got a new ship, a new crew of odd and assorted followers (all envy of each other but wishing to please her). but... not being exactly known for brains, Miss Pretty doesn't really handle her crew well, and they take on either too dangerous missions, or ones that often yield poor profit.

when The players come to know of her, she is not yet a great menace, but her wish is slowly gaining strength (only so and so people can be under her thrall at the same time. but the effect expands). she truly and utterly believes that people FINALLY noticed her for her true glory and magnificence, and that it came about because she asserted herself and became her own woman.

i'm not quite sure how the party is going to encounter her (perhaps dealing with some strange attacks on ships by fervently zealous pirates) but when they actually meet her, there might be a great chance they'll fall under her spell.

something might happen (haven't decided yet) that will help them break off, and from then on, it's to be a recurring villain.

you've read so far? cool! i'm looking for 2 kinds of soundtracks to accompany her various appearances. some that explain her view of herself. and some that reflect being charmed by her (to give the players an idea of the roleplay expected. we like this stuff)

if at all possible, it would be great if these will be "oldies" songs- from the 60-80. things that are easily recognizable.

potential songs on how she view herself:
i feel pretty (Julie Andrews) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kCAFkfFLQQ)

Iw ill survive, Gloria, Gaynor (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBR2G-iI3-I) (probably when meeting her husband again or a similar situation.

being charmed
my first, my last, my everything (Barry White) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtwOeoeWhoo)

Pretty Woman, from the motion picture (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UeKsV6tohiE)

Time of My Life, from the Dirty Dancing motion picture (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpmILPAcRQo&feature=related)

when a man loves a woman, Percy Sledge (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQh112HQsoE)

any others folks? make me make this villain into a small cool musical, with every new crash, different (at least in song) than the other!
