Ok, I'll just outright say that I'm not terribly computer savvy. I'm trying to figure out how to embed a link in text to try and consolidate my signature a bit for when I make more homebrew. I've only got the one right now, but my goal is basically just to have the word Chorister in my signature that leads to this page http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=13303725#post13303725

I imagine that there is a more appropriate place for this, but I'm having trouble finding it.

You can just use the URL (link) button above (it's the one with the globe and a chain link).

Or use the following tags manually: message (http://www.address.goes/here)

Or, for posts, use the post number with the tag. Same for threads and the [thread] tag.

Ah thank you very much for that. Shall make things much easier for me in the future.

It would be even easier than that if you formatted the link correctly. Here's what you want:
Chorister (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=13303725#post13303725)

Here's what you have:
Chorister (http://http//www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=13303725#post13303725)

The latter (which is what is presently in your signature) doesn't work for obvious reasons. You can copy and paste what's in the first code tag over what's presently in your signature to fix the problem.

Edit: What? Code tags don't break links in vBulletin? That's just weird. :smallyuk: Fixed with [noparse].

I did not know about [post] and [thread] tags.... thanks for pointing those out!

The thing to remember is that ?t= or &t= is thread ID, and ?p= or &p= is post ID.
