As the name suggests, looking for spells to use permanency or that are naturally long lasting.

Beware that Permanency leaves you (or at least your cash) quite vulnerable to dispelling, so invest in countermeasures (ring of spell-battle, ring of counterspells) if you go down that route.


Since I'm guessing that you're playing a Wizard, Phantom Steed is wonderful, especially if you can get it to CL14. Overland Flight is nice if you need flight, but don't want to risk your squishy horse being shot down. Hoard Gullet (Dragon Magic) is sweet to lug your stuff around before you can afford a Bag of Holding. If you can Persist Detect Magic (6th level slot), that's also nifty.
