DO YOU HATE SPOILER TAGS?

Well, Deadly's here to help you get rid of them... with a vengeance! Create a new bookmark in your browser and copy the code below as the link/url of said bookmark. Name it something helpful, like "Spoilers B GONE!" or whatever. Then whenever you view a thread here on GitP you just hit the bookmark and BAM! no more spoilers.

You won't even see the boxes, just the bare innards in all their gory glory.

It also makes sure that no image is wider than 600px, to avoid stretching pages, and will attempt to "intelligently" remove repeated images except avatars. Neat, huh? Sadly that last part means stuff like pony emotes may get lost but the forum doesn't make it easy for me to single out images in quotes as I'd have liked... that's an open problem, I guess.

Tested in Firefox, Chrome and Opera. Should work in any modern browser, but you never know with these things.

Eh, we got Pinkie Pie and Princess Celestia, gravity and suns shouldn't be a concern at all. As far as forwards versus backwards? Well, if it was easier to go backwards rather than forwards, we'd all be going backwards instead of going forwards. That might also cause backwards to become the new forwards, so forwards becomes the default method, while backwards always needs to overcome the inertia reverse the polarity of moving forwards. In other words, going backwards is the same method as going forwards, but requires you to do something extra, so it always takes more in comparison.

Is there an Alicorn of the earth? What does he/she do? What about gravity? An alicorn of the "Wilds" (Everfree, wherever the hay the changelings came from, Tartarus, etc.) could be an interesting concept. If nothing else, I think they'd be neat to concept out.

In other news, editing for first chapter of my fic is well underway. I've forgotten how much of a love-hate relationship we have, the editing stage and I. On one hand, I greatly appreciate the structure of it and the constraints it brings. The only thing I can do is edit the words on the page. The structure is there, the basics are down, much less to worry about. On the other hand, I can spend weeks in the editing stage, and still not be completely satisfied. An alicorn of the "Wilds" (Everfree, wherever the hay the changelings came from, Tartarus, etc.) could be an interesting concept. If nothing else, I think they'd be neat to concept out.


Well, to make an alicorn, it's necessary to first define what it is that they do. For example, Celestia's special talent is raising the sun, and for a millenia she did the moon, too.

Let's take the Alicorn of the earth. What does he/she do? (I'll call it a him, if only because to me it seems to fall more in the traditionally male sphere.) Probably, he'd have something to do with making sure that everything is as it needs to be to ensure life--fertile fields and all that. Since he's probably in charge of mountains and gems as well, I could see him being a bit of an artist. What simple image could sum all that up? I'm thinking maybe Tom, as imagined by Rarity. (In other words, a big honkin' diamond.

As far as physical appearances, I believe "pebbled" would be the correct descriptor. Insofar as ponies can appear to be stony, he should be stony. I could see him as being brown, but I'm leaning more towards a cool grey. The horn should have a something special; make it look marbled. I see his hair as being salt-and-pepper, probably styled something similar to how Big Mac wears his hair. If possible, I'd want his eyes to jump out of his face, being a brilliant blue. I imagine him being at least as tall if not taller than Celestia, and much better muscled.

Somebody draw this, since my digital work is absolutely horrid.

Oh, right the interview. I think John De Lancie speaks very eloquently about the documentary and the brony community. I do, however, think they may have a bit of a bias. He wants to explain a lot of different things and do so from his own perspective. It's fine to have a bias (everyone has a bias) but they should just embrace that and be even more clear than they have been about the perspective they're coming from.

Well, two things to remember; Firstly they are usually being fired by 8-9 foot tall supersoldiers in strength doubling power armour.
Secondly, they actually have a lot less recoil than you might think, because they are fired at low velocity and then ignite like rockets, so very little kick in actual fact.

not that it makes war anything other than terrible and ugly.
