Can anyone point me to a prestige class that concentrates on metamagic feats and abilities?

Thanks.

The Incantatrix.

It's in a Wizards web article. Just Google it.

Also, Dweomerkeeper out of the Complete Divine Web Enhancement is pretty good, but requires Arcane and Divine casting.

recaster is sort of one, too, I guess. and halruaan elder. spelldancer is pretty good at it for a one-level dip, but ew prereqs. anima mage has a bit of metamagic stuff, though not much.

boef has the metaphysical spellshaper but that is a) boef and b) ridiculously broken.

note that that's the magic of faerūn one. it's pretty good, getting improved metamagic at 8 and bonus feats once in a while. also, instant metamagic can be useful a bit. it's pretty back-loaded in useful things, but altogether.

the pgtf incantatrix simply blows it out of the water with its two best abilities coming in at 2 and 3, and even more metamagic feats, though.

Also Halruaan Elder.

But who are we kidding, Icantatrix is the Queen of the this party. Just, go and play it, and laugh as the tiny* Dragon** shaped balls of exp run.

*Actually Colossal
**Actually Prismatic

Ultimate Magus is a prepared/spontaneous arcane theurge class, and if I recall it's got some nice metamagic-related class features.

Which one is more recent/official?

The Player's guide to Faerun version is updated to 3.5 and is thus more official.

Wizard 5 / Halruan elder 4 / Incantatrix 10 /Anything 1 (Mindbender?) is about the best you can get. -1 On all metamagic, additional -1 on two metamagic of choice.

If you are planning to go into epics, at lvl 21 you can grab improved metamagic and have fun with around with:
Quicken +1
Twin +1
Any other feat up to +3 => +1

if you take the fifth level of halruaan elder, that's circle magic, too.

There's also Artificer, as a base class. Turns GP and infusions into metamagic abuse on its items.

But in practice, I'd back Ultimate Magus (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20061010a&page=3), on account of it both being a metamagic specialist and not being completely game-shatteringly broken.
