Bardbarian Optimization?

Another challenge from me, if you can call it that way, because I'm actually thinking of playing one - how would you make an optimized mix of Bard and Barbarian? Lead him through all levels up to 20, any prestige classes you want, rather avoid specific races of templates if they're not necessary. Is it even possible to mix these two without going into Gestalt?

Talfirian Song will be your friend if you want to do PrC stuff - it's a lot more powerful than your average Versatile Spellcaster abuse. You will, of course, want both Chaos Rage and Chaos Music from Dragon 326, as well as the Vest of Legends, for making sure that your multiclassing doesn't hurt either your rage or bardic music progressions that much.
