The Elf

Elves are an ancient race, gifted and cursed with exceptional longevity, with a talent for magic and a strong connection to the natural world.
Personality: Most elves are proud and noble, trusting others only very slowly, and valuing their own opinion over those of others. Of course, elves naturally live very long lives, and their experience usually gives them good reason to stick to their instincts.
Physical Description: A typical elf stands as tall as a typical human, with long, pointed ears, wide, gem-colored eyes, and with little to no body hair except on their heads. Elf hair color ranges the colors of forest leaves, green, yellow, red, orange, and brown. Their bodies are lithe and beautiful by human standards, with pale skin the color of moonlight on a warm night.
Relations: Elves are aloof and wary of members of other races. They tend to view most other races as aggressive, reckless, and impulsive. Trust is a commodity that must be well-earned from an Elf.
Alignment: The typical elf is Neutral Good, balancing their natural desires for freedom with a sense of community, while adventurous elves that abandon their homes, for whatever reasons, lean toward Chaotic alignments of all stripes.
Elven Lands: The elves make their homes in secluded, difficult to reach places, in harmony with the natural world. Most elven settlements are hidden deep within the shade of wizened forests, but it is not unheard of for elves to congregate in the murk of a swamp or upon the sunbathed peaks of a proud mountain range.
Language: Elves have existed long before the recorded history of most other cultures and have interacted with nearly all living creatures. As such they tend to learn languages easily, and always speak Elvish and Common.
Elf Racial Traits
-2 Strength, +2 Dexterity. Elves are graceful, but are more slightly built than other races.
Medium. As medium creatures, elves have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
Elf base land speed is 30 feet. An Elf always moves at normal speed while in natural terrain (but not in natural terrain that has been artificially manipulated to impede movement).
Superior Low-Light Vision: An elf can see four times as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination, and retains the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions.
An elf gains a +2 racial bonus to all Concentration, Decipher Script, Knowledge (Arcane), Knowledge (History), Knowledge (Nature), Spellcraft, and Survival checks.
While in natural terrain, an elf gains a +2 bonus to Balance, Hide, Move Silently, and Tumble checks and a +4 bonus to Climb, Jump, and Swim checks.
Elves always treat the Speak Language skill as a class skill.
Wild Empathy (Ex): An elf can improve the attitude of an animal or magical beast as a Druid of its character level.
Magical Blood (Ex): An elf has a caster level, both arcane and divine, that is the sum of its class levels, including non-spellcasting classes, even if it does not possess levels in any spellcasting classes. This caster level can be substituted for the caster level of any spellcasting classes the elf possesses, and it is increased or decreased as normal by all effects that increase or decrease caster level (such as Karma Beads or the Mage Slayer feat).
Spell-Like Abilities: 3/day - know direction. An elf with an Intelligence score of at least 10 has the following spell-like abilities: 1/day - detect magic, detect secret doors, and detect snares and pits. Caster level is equal to character level.
Favored Class: Wizard and any one other class (chosen at 1st level).
