half vampire sorcerer gish(ish)

Well, not so much a gish as a blaster/warrior type. I know the character is pretty unoptimized, but how can I eat the +2LA, the lost levels to melee classes, and the slightly worse progression of the sorcerer, and still be a capable caster? Any suggestions to optimizing this with my restrictions? Most books are available, DM is pretty laid back and open to homebrew after review.

Ironically, considering what I just posted in another thread, Suel Arcanamach (CAr) might be OK for this...although their spell list isn't particularly suited to blasting.

The homebrew in my sig might be of interest. You would need to create a half undead assocation, or find a suitable bloodline to use as an association.

you could always go paladin of tyranny/warmage (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=131346), it gets all that delicious blast along with some of the caster classic defensive buffs, along with mines, REAL LANDMINES! then just follow up with abjurant champion to get that BaB up and some bonuses to defensive buffs. after that theres always a few levels of swiftblade that make a gish build sing.

Sorcerer/8 Ur-Priest/2 Mystic Theruge/8 Half-Vampire +2

a similar build was posted in the Thanos thread and I simply fell in love with it :smallamused: Its definately become my favorite Theruge combination... excluding the Half-Vampire template... :smallannoyed: but very good none the less :smallamused:

I think blaster wasn't the best term either, blasting/battlefield control/summoning. is Suel Arcanamach good for that?
