A friend of mine just linked this on my FB page:

http://roll20.net

It's all free and very user friendly, and plus: you do NOT need to host a server, configure ports and so on, 'cause it's all working on the site (which is compatible also with GOOGLE HANGOUTS). It just takes a minute or two to set up the "table" and invite players, and there's a simple and useful tutorial.

What do you think about it?

I think it's been mentioned so many times on this site that it's starting to give me a headache.

Indeed it has been mentioned on this site and I have been eagerly waiting for its release.

It seems they just started doing beta, so thanks for the heads up!

I've been following this since Kickstarter and have been running a The One Ring campaign with it during the closed (now open) beta. It's a great tool. Finally, an online table-top that doesn't require its own class to figure out how to use. The built-in sound player and art searches are a nice touch.

Is it useful for PbP games?

@Rallicus. It's just a really clever marketing scheme.

I recently got into the beta for Roll20.
Are you guys excited for this new way to play Tabletop Roleplaying games online?

I'm a supporter of Roll20, contributed to the Kickstarter and I now use it weekly, but let's not wear out our welcome, k? Best to not look too obnoxious. Feel free to post in the first thread your support, keep it on the first page so people see it, but multiple threads isn't cool.
