I'm thinking of adding a Bleach (http://bleach.wikia.com/wiki/Bleach_Wiki) type NPC or group of NPC's to my world (Yes Yes I've just been watching a bunch of it) and wouldn't mind a few suggestions from the Playground.

The Players aren't Gists but i'd be willing to have these guy/s being a gist mashup because they'd be rare (if I even fit them in) and reasonably hard core.

Nothing lower then level 10
Human-ish
Doesn't have to be any perticaler character from Bleach just the whole magic/ghost/samurai vibe.
Can be Psionics buts since I've never used them you'd have to point me in the right direction to whatever book is needed.

Cheers.

First thing that comes to mind is the Bladebound Magus (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/magus/archetypes/paizo---magus-archetypes/bladebound) from PF, taken straight-up. Mystical swordsman, has spells to back up his strength with arms, has an intelligent, supernatural sword which becomes more powerful in time with the owner... Both mechanically and fluff-wise it seems spot-on.

Yeah, that, or a PF Soulknife is what I was going to suggest.

Or, of course, a slightly nerfed one of BleachD20's (http://wiki.bleachd20.com/index.php?title=Main_Page) Shinigami classes, since it's balanced to be stronger than normal classes...

Any number of the Gish builds could accomplish this, you could also mix Incarnate in with the Warblade or Crusader.

I'd have to disagree. I've actually played the Expert Shinigami class in a "anything D20 game". I was the second weakest character in the party and there was minimal (if any) optimization.

The Bleach d20 rules aren't back overall though. Not exactly my favorite but they work.

I think something that may be better for what you're proposing is a look into BESM (Big Eyes Small Mouth). Which is a book set up completely around anime roleplaying using the D20 system. Though, if you use BESM you'd REALLY need to watch out for getting over powered. It's very easy to do with those rules.

You can't say that's inappropriate for Bleach...

BESM D20 is a really clunky system and more often than not you are going to end up using the Adventurer class which gives the most creation points. Though for Arrancar the shapeshifter class works awesome, though as always be very wary of such open ended options.

Having said that while based on the d20 system BESM is not directly compatible with D&D.

Here is Soulbound Weapon ACF for Psychic warriors. It looks like it was made specifically for Bleach

Yeah, it's pretty much up to specifically the Adventurer class. As far as its compatibility with D&D you're somewhat on. Most of the issues that seem to come up however could easily be remedied in this situation since it's an NPC rather than a player character.

Be sure to get the most ridiculous buff you can think of to go with that word... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAmFl3VRsgc)

I would strongly consider the Stalwart Battle Sorcerer (that's the Sorcerer with the UA Battle Sorcerer variant plus the Stalwart variant from CM.) It's basically a fighter/mage in a can; its caster levels don't suffer at all but it knows very few spells and has fewer spells/day. In return it has the hit points of a barbarian (useful because everyone is shown taking lots of hits) and the BAB of a cleric, as well as proficiency in two weapons and focus with one. (This is great for all those characters whose zanpakutos turn into spears or other things that aren't swords - though you might want to houserule that as counting as the same weapon, anyway.)

Alternatively, run with Sword of the Arcane Order on a Paladin or Mystic Ranger basis. That gives you full BAB classes. Kido experts can be modeled with something closer to Cloistered Cleric, dropping the HD to d6 and the BAB to poor while increasing the spell selection and skills known.

Either way, you want to re-fluff the spells to be more like known kido. This isn't hard to accomplish, but it's time consuming. Thrust is Mage Hand, but then later on it's probably better modeled by Telekinesis. The Lightning spells are easy (make the lower one lighting bolt and the higher one Chain Lightning.) The binding/restraint spells are Hold Person/Hold Monster. Someone has probably done all the work already, if you don't want to do it yourself. Look around.

... Weird, does Yumichika actually say "it's a secret" and then "Fuji kujaku"? Isn't the whole point that that name doesn't release his secret? :smallconfused:

Oh well. The game company probably can't track every continuity detail.

In other news, you may be amused to know that there is an Australian band called Bankai that samples Bleach voice acting in its music (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQUq6K9t1FI&feature=related).

That is awesome!
