Alternative to Mastery of Shaping

Are there any alternate methods of getting such an ability (feats, items, etc)?

I don't want to work Archmage into my build, but I would like something that allows me to exclude/protect allies from harmful spell effects. I already know about Sculpt Spell and Extraordinary Spell Aim, but I would really like something that lets me exclude multiple allies while they are in melee with enemies.

Is there at lease some way to get free Spell Focus (along with Master Specialist) to reduce the feat cost of Archmage by 2?

If you're a Changeling you could go into Recaster - you get some free metamagic feats, a couple of bonus spells (from any list in the game), a bunch of fun ways to mess with your spells (including versions of things like Mastery of Shaping).
