While trying to build a spell list for my latest project (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=13414721), I discovered that there are a lot of spells in both the Arcane and Divine Lists. So I decided to build a list of Spells that people (both myself and others, such as the handbook builders of brilliantgameologists (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=12678.0)) have said are good spells more often than not. So far, it's only levels 0 to 6th, but I hope you like it.

So what do you think?

P.S. Yes, I know that the Divine List is a bit short at the moment, but, hopefully, we can all work together to expand it.

P.S.S. The 0 level spell list is actually made up of most of the existing 0 level spells and wasn't really cherry-picked like the rest of the spells. Sorry about that.

Look up the Chameleon handbook. Has bunch of good stuff.

For example, Disciple of Thrym gets Summon Giant as a 4th level divine spell. Level 7, and throwing around Stone Giants.

Forgot about that...

Thanks for the reminder...

How meaningful are the "Arcane" and "Divine" distinctions? Most things refer to class lists anyway...

An example of when it matters:
Divine Spell Resistance (Su): At 4th level, an ur-priest gains spell resistance 15, but only against divine spells and the spell-like abilities of outsiders. At 8th level, the urpriest’s spell resistance increases to 20.

OK, fair enough.

Another example is for the errata'ed DMM:

When you take this feat, choose a metamagic feat that
you have. This feat applies only to that metamagic feat.
As a free action, you can take the energy from turning
or rebuking undead and use it to apply a metamagic feat
to divine spells that you know. . . .

The Archivist and the Chameleon.

The Archivist doesn't really help unless you can actually find someone who knows the spell as a Divine spell, or a scroll scribed as a Divine spell. Though I suppose a Warlock could probably make an Archivist very happy, and make great use of this list.

I actually always wondered if T1 classes could be made T3 simply by banning access to spell levels 7-9. This list might actually offer some insight into the answer to that, so thanks in advance, Lestroisrois

No problem.

It would be very helpful if a source was listed next to each spell. It doesn't help much to see Final End of Doom in the list without knowing that it's from the Complete World Ender's Handbook.
