Valley of Eternity

A while (ok, along while) ago there was work being done to translate the
Finnish RPG: "Valley of Eternity" into english.

I see Vagreant Workshop is publishing somehtign that sounds similar:

It was a guy called Comet who was involved, see this thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=190126) for details. I'm keeping an eye out for it too.

Oh man, I remember the first thread for this, where the translation team first got together.

I checked up on the process awhile ago, and was informed that they'd hit a snag, and that when they got done, there'd be a thread announcing it. Not the best news. :smallfrown:

Edit: Huh, I completely forgot about that second thread, which is weird because I posted in it. :smallconfused:

Anyway, I guess that means that the translation has been done for some time, and it's in the hands of the publisher. And has been for some time. Also not the best news. :smallfrown:

Yes.

I'm as happy as you guys to know that Valley of Eternity finally has a publisher, Vagrant Workshop. I got an e-mail about the occasion a while back, but didn't want to start screaming on the internet until the product was actually out.

The translation was done ages ago. The original publisher bailed out on the project, though, and the product was left hanging. But Vagrant Workshop saved the day, like the gentlemen that they are.

It's been a long journey. Ridiculously, outrageously long, in fact, with little excitement and lots of waiting. The fact that you guys are still excited about this little game is great news and I hope you'll like the final product once you get your hands on it.

Look forward to Valley of Eternity, a game about penguins, heroes and outcasts. I'll PM everyone on my PM list as soon as I see that the product is finally out. I'll probably also put up a new thread then, unless we manage to keep this one alive long enough to hold all the celebrating in here.
