[PF] Synthesis Summoner -- Legs?

There are a few things that I don't quite understand about the Synthesis Summoner archetype.

"The synthesist wears the eidolon like translucent, living armor." (UM (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/summoner/archetypes/paizo---summoner-archetypes/synthesist)) Let's say a human, with arms and legs, chooses the aquatic eidolon, and then neglects to spend evolution points on Limbs (legs). Does this mean that when in eidolon form the human no longer has arms or legs?

Conversely, if the human chooses the a biped eidolon, that comes with the Limbs (legs) evolution, do they get the speed bonus that comes with that evolution? So would a human synthesist with a biped eidolon, and an additional Limbs (legs) evolution, have a speed (in eidolon form) of 50 feet, or 40 feet?

And also, say a synthesis summoner that chooses the biped base form spends an additional two evolution points to get the Limbs (legs) feat again; he/she still wouldn't be eligible for the Pounce evolution, right?

Correct on all counts.

While merged, a Synthesist's body is, for all intents and purposes, replaced by the Eidolon's body. You gain all the physical strengths and limitations of your chosen form.
