So, considering that I have a scanner now, I'm able to show off those pictures I've been itching to tell everyone about. My introductory picture here is going to be of a cadaver collector that has become a fully-fledged party member, and was dubbed "Lenny." The party had run into him on a trip into a necropolis, and he was guarding the front gates. Being intelligent, he's open to reason, and so I let the team's gnomish cleric make a Diplomacy check or two. Eventually, she managed to convince Lenny that, adventurers being the big murderhobos they were, he would get more bodies if he followed them, and he ended up growing attached to the group, mostly because they gave him with rag dolls to play with while he waited in places he couldn't fit.

After a scene where the group was fighting a lich that was about to toast them all, their friendship was sealed when Lenny managed to bust enough of the wall down to get in there and beat the Hell out of the lich with one charge. From then on, he's been their best buddy, and refuses to leave them unless they tell him he has to wait.

So, I've got a new picture up. This one is of a mind flayer paladin I made named Ullipsine. She was originally a very typical mind flayer, but at one point, after being singled out during a raid above ground, an alhoon took her away from the rest of the group and revealed to her the secrets of the Elder Brains. Rather than feel the hatred she normally would, having been separated from the Elder Brain left her feeling something new, a sense of righteousness. Yes, Ullipsine did feel that the Elder Brains needed to be destroyed, but it was with a purpose more resembling the desire to deal out justice than exact revenge. Following her revelations, the mind flayer took up the mantle of the paladin.

Currently, she serves as a lieutenant to the alhoon, named Abstersine, and even though she despises his very existence as an undead creature, she still gives him begrudging respect, just as he does to her. The only reason they are not at one another's throats is because they have a much more powerful and dangerous enemy in the Elder Brains, and so they come to compromises on making decisions about what to do next. They even have a small group of other liberated mind flayers, known as The Enlightened Ones, and are planning to gather enough to make an assault on the Elder Brains themselves, albeit only going one at a time.

One of her personal quirks, and my favorite one, is that she keeps her tentacles bound together. It's a symbol of faith in herself, as she restricts herconsumption of brains to only the non-sentient and to those who deserve something so horrific; her unbinding the tentacles is comparable to Batman pulling a gun on someone, and it's something I like to utilize for dramatic effect.

So, again, please share your thoughts on my new drawing!

Lenny is so cute! Love the whole feeling of 'innocent toddler of death' it seems to have. You've got impressive drawing talent.

He's supposed to. Also, if he could speak, he would call everyone else George.

Why, yes, I do like mind flayers. Why do you ask?

Also, note the watermark if you're going to borrow the picture for some reason. I only put it on because it's available as a print on deviantART.

One last thing, before I forget, I'm willing to draw your own characters if you'd like. Given, they may not be exactly how you want, but then again, I'm not a telepath.

'Nother picture's up, this one a gift to Afroakuma for a certain comment (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9594407&postcount=53) he'd made awhile ago.

I laughed at that last mindflayer.

Also, excellent point by afrokuma. Reminds me of an guy I heard about on the web, who believed that Glacticus' consumption of inhabited planets was a metaphor for vegetarianism... at least until it was revealed that it was necessary for the universe's continuing function.

Holy crap, I haven't posted on here for a really, really long time. :smalleek:

This somewhat androgynous woman here, Cyrille d'Amour, is a character I made for a 3.P game. She's a Musetouched aasimar (related to azatas), and considering that her race lets her use glitterdust as a spell-like ability, it's now become my own head canon that any and all Musetouched have bishie sparkles, and using glitterdust is a weaponization of said bishie sparkles. She's a gestalt character as well, a combination of the Swashbuckler from Pathfinder's Advanced Class Guide, and the Warblade, from 3.5's Tome of Battle: Book of Nine Swords. Her build is centered around a lot of counterattacking and fending off blows, and happens to be very good at what she does, hinted at by the rose motif some of her costume has. She also happens to be a great dancer, even with a bit of wine in her system. After all...
