So, in the campaign I am playing in right now, we just got done fighting a Lich mind flayer who had a familiar/companion with him that got some fun toys, and made our lives a living hell.:smallfurious:

This got me thinking about how to get my Pseudo dragon up to par with him. I did some searching and found the draconic grafts. Perfect for him. Because what Pseudo Dragon would not want a breath weapon?

Now I was just wondering what are some ways to decrease the cost on them? At the moment I would want the Gleaming Scales and then the Metabolic Fire grafts. Rather nice considering he would only give up about 10hp in total to get extra Natural armor, Resistance, and a 6d8 breath weapon useable per 1d4 rounds.

The usual approach is to become a grafter yourself with the appropriate feat(s). You pay just half the cost for materials, plus 1/25 of the graft’s list price in XP.
