Summon Monsters from non-PHB?

Hey all, I feel like I've heard before that different books beyond the Player's Handbook list different monsters that you can summon with the Summon Monster X spells, but I've never come across them in my reading.

Am I making this up, or is this true? If so, can someone list some books/page numbers so I can inspect this for myself?

This thread (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19872206/Legal_3.5_Summonable_Monster_List) seems to be a pretty comprehensive list of monsters that note they can be summoned in their entries. It also lists book sources so you can verify them yourself.

There are alternative/additional summons in a variety of sources. I recall that BoED, FC2 and Planar Handbook have some for instance.
