So how do you determine the random spot? Is there a published way? Also is the random direction only horizontal, or can you send enemies "INTO SPACE!!" :smalltongue:?

Just because I inherently distrust D&Dwiki: Dislocator (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/items/weapons.htm#dislocator)

"1-100 miles" screams "roll d%" to me. As for direction, random directions are typically done with a d8, but as you point out that doesn't take the Z-axis into account. It could - porting the target 100 miles straight up would certainly make the weapon more fatal - but in the interest of simplicity I would stick with the d8 and/or compass directions.
