So this is your IC (For now, until the plot catches up with you and Igneel creates one)

You are in that giant planar fortress you built.

So this is just the dinner party thread? Great!

As all the guests file in, they appear in a grand corridor, where they are greeted by a tall, handsome man adorned in gold and silver armor. He gestures to their seats, and offers to escort them, if they wish. Of course, anyone who is anyone (and who could cast true seeing), sees the truth. Where the man is supposed to be standing stands a enormous dragon, standing non-threateningly but clad in full battle regalia, ready to defend the fortress at any time.

A sphere of darkness enshrouds the center of the town. As it fades a small legion of skeletons are left armed with the most powerful of weapons.

Drawing upon the strength of their axes and heavy cords they proceed to flood the town with music and festivities raising undead rights banners and the like.

A woman heads over to the paladin. Seemingly no older then twenty, with a body that a succubus would kill for, and hair the color of flame, she appears no more then human, even to true sight. But there is some hint of something a bit... more then human about her.

She leans close and wispers to the armored paladin

"Master D, the CEO might be slightly delayed. There was a accounting error made in aqusstions, and he decided to... talk, to the clerk in person. He should be no more then five minutes. He said that you would know what to do, and that the speeches would be after the dinner, as planed. Shall I send for the enterainment?"

Red Rosen, the bosses personal messenger. And oldest daughter. And if you rembered right, the entertainment was supposed to be that smphoney that inccured some... signfigant expenses, and were loaned out of the Red by the Corperation. They were quite good.

As the commotion of undeads parade about the town a small cluster of negative energy approaches dimming the sun. At the center a small pixie sits atop a skull carved with arcane runes. wight other such skulls fly weaving about the skull upon which the pixie sits as eight spots of pure darkness float along as if they were floating candle flames emitting a light that darkens rather than illuminates, for within a hundred and fifty feet the area is far darker than the day around the small group. The Pixie grins menacingly as the procession approaches "I am expected?"

Than the paladin turns to the pixie and gives a deep bow. "Greetings, you are indeed expected. I extend to you the greatest hospitality that can be offered from this... humble abode," the dread dragon says, glancing at the opulent furnishings and magnificent architecture that adorn the grand hall. "Would you like for me to show you to your seat?"

Oblivion, hidden away inside his human form, attempted to move about inconspicuously. Many here would be unaware that this body was possessed by Oblivion, so the last thing Oblivion wished to do was believe their meeting had been disrupted by Havrin Kalm, one of the more famous heroes of the land.

Instead, he would wait for the right time to make his entrance. The last thing he wanted to do was to cause a fight with those who were on the same side. Among the gathered were some of the most powerful mortals in existence, while Oblivion was still recovering from being reduced to a mere word and a concept, and was at one of the weakest points of his existence, ever.

Dodoran, of course, was immediately alerted by the wards that Oblivion had arrived. Glancing around for the elusive former god, he caught sight of a certain mortal hero sneaking around the party, but said nothing. The CEO would have a lot of explaining to do...

Many would mistake him for a normal human in a very well made business suit. In fact, other then the addtion of wings, thats all the True seeing would pick up. But those who can see auras and souls? A black hole is bright compared to him. A strange clockwork darkness, a suductive wisper, a sudden urge.

Matt Rosen, CEO and founder of Mattcorp, Ageless and immortal, ordered and composed, Greed incarnate.

Of course, Oblivion would be in front of the point where he teleported in. As planed in fact.

"Hello Havrin Kalm. It is a pleaure seeing you again. The last time I saw you, I had planted this very intresting sugesstion in your mind. How do you enjoy being Oblivion's host? And as for you, Oblivion. It's a pleasure seeing you again as well. If you would let me share the details of your current situation with the others?"

His voice, is silk, covered in silver and gold, promising everything, yet with hidden meanings and clauses. His smirk is the quiet knowledge that he knows much more then he should, and knows everything that has or will happen.

And of course, Dodoran would need to be informed, but still, sometimes a little suprise is the spice of life.

{Dodoran, you remeber Havrin Kalm? He's been converted to the cause. Or rather, Oblivion consumed his mind and soul and now resides in his body. To be honest, I helped arrange it, a quiet sugesstion when he was three I think, but I do aplogize for not informing you in a prompt manner. Was antcipating the reaction the others would show to be honest.}

"If you could announce my presence, it would be appreciated. This body is a useful disguise but I do not wish to misinform the others here.

Oh, and I wouldn't bother taunting Havrin. While the only person who could possibly be an expert on gods like me possessing bodies is currently trapped reincarnating as various forms of insects, I believe Havrin's mind is as close to destroyed as is possible. As I understand, he is unable to interact with the world or perceive time in any way" Oblivion said. He noted Matt's insinuation that he was responsible for Havrim's studies. Oblivion was impressed by his actions, though wondered whether Matt knew he Havrin would summon Oblivion or expected Havrin to only summon some sort of abomination. If Matt knew about the old gods and the precious multiverse, it would be a useful tool in Oblivion's quest

Turning towords the guests, Matt prepares to make a revalation.

"Honorned guests, I present the bodt of Havrin Kalm! It seemed that he delved a little to deep into the darker parts of the world, and meet something a little too much for him to handle. Dodoran allows a wide grin to split his face at the news that the grand hero had been corrupted. That Havrin had been coming a bit to close to discovering his... more sinister side, and while Dodoran could have easily reduced him to a pile of ash in mere seconds, he would prefer that his disguise as a noble paladin remained intact.

{Red, would you check and see where the last guest is? He's normally quite prompt. More then me at any rate.}

A servents entrance opened, and a small band entered.

"Now, I'm sure that you recgonze them? I assure you, they're of the highest quality."

And as they play, they are. Tellvinr Voolroseti and company is world famous, and was said to have even proformed in sigil and he Iron palace of Dispater. What could have prompted them to play here?

"Some are fools and weaklings, and names are but names, not the playthings of a child to be tossed about as party gifts." Her smile broadens at the thought that this small time upstart thought his abilities her equal, especially at his buddy-buddy attitude.

As for the realms of the dead, none rule that land but the council of nine. Myself I last visited millennia ago, but at the time they were a bit short on life, and failing to live up to my expectations.

At the sight of the entertainment she begins to wonder just how far this man's immortal pride would go. And to assume such a thing music... they were a hundred centuries too young. No matter she would hear them out. After all it had been a while since she had last entertained such a petty immortal.

Bowing to the little pixe, he Grins.

"Yes Scarlet, I'm fully aware of that. After all, I AM a Barrister of the Nine. But, names are labels in a sense, execpt when you deal with the deepest of names, the true names. Those are treasures to be locked in the endless vaults of Khaz'yam Kolcholr."

He sits down, and summons refreshment mentally. A ghostly figure, a smallish ghostly human, brings the tray over.

He gives Scarlet a cup of pale red liquid, sented so that even her undead self would be able to appreciate it. Soul Wine. A drink distilled from the raw essence of souls.

The Ghostly servitor then gives oblivion a drink, a harsh black ale, teeming with void energies, something that he made quite some time ago in fact.....

Dodoran recives a fine wine, made of molten metals, and screaming fragments of what seem to be elementals.

The music plays onwords, a tradgic melody, written around the time of Scarlets death, seemingly about her death in fact... if slightly reomanticzed.

"Scarlet, I trust you remeber the servitor? While you were alive, and before he died, he made a deal with me. I've been saving him for you ever since. Think of it as a gift."

Oblivion suppressed a chuckle as they debated the importance of names, lacking so much knowledge. Oblivion had existed since this universe's inception, and he had seen every language that had ever existed and seen how much of it was recycled from his universe. Even the powerful 'true names' were bastardised mixtures of the Sacred Tongue and the Ektin dialect of Scaldi.

Instead, he noted with some satisfaction that Rosen didn't know everything of his old universe. He knew a fair amount, but his source must have been second hand and had several mistakes.

"One correction. I am more than simply the god of destruction. I am the god of destruction, oppression and anything that mortals mistaken for evil. In forming your languages, my name was misapplied to describe merely a facet of my personality"

I'll make sure I post something in the other thread describing some of the important stuff about Oblivion and his mythology, since the idea is each god exists in this universe in a different way and very few were reduced to concepts like Oblivion and Honour

A gate, surrounded by blue flame and smell of sulfur appears in the corridor and a 14-year old human child enters through. He has an innocent smile on his face and wears clothes befitting a crown prince, he also carries a sword at least twice his height... and is followed by a Balor, silver collar on his neck and a chain connected to the child's belt, he also carries some kind of creature in his hands.

"Oh, I see the party started already. I apologize for being late I just found a prey worthy of a ... consuming... hunt. I am Bernael, but you all probably know that already." He says in a deep, adult voice not fitting to the frail body he transformed into this time.

The table looks ordinary, execpt for that little crystral like sphere in the middle. As Matt presses a button, it lights up and projects a image. despite being made of light, it is not magical.

"Now, as I'm sure your aware, there are many inhabited worlds in the prime. Several of these worlds pocess no magical or psionic abilltiy, but in direct confrentation, they can oblterate most magical cultures. I'm talking about, of course, a technology gap. I currently have three plans ready."

With the push of another button, three smaller screens pop up around him, and he taps on the leftmost one. Imidditly, the globe is replaced with a much smaller area, a good sized contenit.

"Now, several of these nations you'd be fammilair with," They start to glow in ornge light, highlighting them, "these nations have the best chance of organizing a effective resistence, and providing a support platform for heros of most stripes. However, they have a number of weakness to be exploited. These one here, is the simplest. It's royal family has been reduced to one person, and there is no heir. In fact, if the Queen was to die in the immidate future, it would be subject to a civil war. Durning the chaos, we have simple moved planed. A plague. This would render this part vunrable.

That leaves the other two. This one here is to all eyes, stable. However, as I said, they do have key weakness. They have in their dungeons, the infamous Greystone Butcher. His attempt to throw the goverment down, and his canballistic tendencies, should have lead to his death. However, they're waiting to kill him because of a oracles prediction, that he needs to die on a cirten day, at a cirten time. I arranged for that prediction. With the Greystone rebellion back, and better funded, their goverment will be very much occupied.

The last one is perhaps the easiest. They're cursed. I won't bother you with the details, but apprently, they need to be chained to Oblivion in order to be cured. Also called, they need to swear themselves to you outright. If they want to avoid the monthly bloodbaths.

And when they are otherwise occuiped, stage two commences."

With a light tap, a area starts glowing red.

"Here, we have enough orcs and goblins to overrun them, but they happen to be a little divided. If one of the more.... tractable cheaiftens were brought over to our way of thinking, and his horde equiped with weapons that are out of this world, they can fullfill their ages old grudge. Against a certin three nations."

Colored arrows move out of the red area and into the orange area.

"With the equipment I'll be suppling them with, they should be able to occupy them while several covert actions take place, inculding the death of the leadership, to be replaced with pawns of our choice. The business would experince a hostile takeover, and as the horde seems to be on the brink of overwhelming them? Their supplies suffer a malfunction. A violent malfunction that severly reduces their numbers. And then, the remaining leaders, of BOTH sides, would find very intresting clues. The group that was opossing us? Several of them were responsible. Then, we just need to tie up loose ends.

So, how you you find the first plan? I welcome all sugesstions and imput, and understand that you will probobly see things that I missed."

I fail to see how the rest of us are require for this plan's success. in fact if this plan is enough to do them if I fear we may individually be able to overwhelm them, not to mention the inefficiencies of resource use in this. The pixie waves her hand vaguely at the map for emphasis.

And as for the resource ineffeciny, you'd be suprised at how easy resources are when their not yours, but your enemys. Besides, in all honesty, the plans are rough for a reason. Not entirely sure of the total capabillities, so I left a lot of room for improvment."

"There is also a small matter of the other people. To the best of my knowledge, we are five of the most powerful people in all of the planes, but there are five others who could prove... troublesome if we let them run amok. Any one of them could easily eliminate an entire army of goblins on their own, just as we could, and I don't like our odds if several of them catch one of us alone."

"So lets kill them, it can't be that hard."

A little pause and...

"If they can kill one of us if they attacked in group then the opposite is also true. Lets get them, one vs one, two vs one, army vs one... whichever is fine when the outcome is the same."

Next pause and thoughtful expression on Bernaels child face

"Ah, and to be precise, the outcome should be our enemies dead. Begging for mercy just before. And screaming from despair when you kill their friends and followers... I don't know why they do the last one but the heroes like these things..."

Apart from the fact that we need to make sure whatever we use against the 'heroes' is capable of troubling them, this country that somehow feels the need to worship me is troubling. I brainwash a number of Drow, which lets face it, nobody likes, and set them up as the masterminds for a ritual that would lead to a global rampage of dragons. "Well, I could try to be the necromancer," Dodoran says, "But I don't want to compromise my position as it stands. I could easily lead the army as an evil dragon, but I don't relish a fight with a gold. One wyrm, I could take, but a flock of them... I might not survive."

"Vary well. Oblivion will be there as the heroic hero, an I ill lend you a few undeads to keep it convincing. If Oblivion is discovered they will return to find that the rest of his story checks out as he will be fighting an evil necromancer with his undead hordes. Now, you and you..." The Scarlet Clover continues pointing to their host and the dark angel "What can you contribute to their demise without endangering the rest of us?"

"As a barrister of the nine, I'm a expert in infernal contract law. Where you have to pay for them, I don't. Loopholes. I also have contacts among the yulogoths, several large mercenary compneies based out of Ysguard owe me a favor or two, and I while somethings are immune, my repitore of enchantment effects is quite useful. I also have several agents of mine working on a special aquation, but it will be some time before they make it back."

Matt shrugs.

"I also pocess a working grasp of elven high magic, dwarven rune magic, nodal magic, and have the aquanitice of several... intresting idviduals. No one you would have heard of."

"In that case there can be devils among the undeads. How many and of which verities can you gather within a few days?"

Bernael, whose thoughts were someplace else for a while answers:
*shrug* "I think I could use my pet, here...
*pointing at the Balor*
... to pose as necromancer or its messenger. I could also give you some of my vampire slaves. Whether you let them loose or use with an accurate plan... the plague is spreading quickly, if needed..."
Quick frown at the thought of lots of weak vampires, that somehow are connected to his noble blood...
"At least they are quite good at drawing attention..."

"Hmm, well it would seem we have demons and undeads aplenty, though I will confess I have fewer vampires. I have always found their need to constantly feed... troublesome... Vary well. Oblivion, you may go and set this into motion as we play number games as to how many of which we will have awaiting you. How many vampires can you all, and how many fiends you that can be mobilized within a day, and how many within a week?" She inquires looking between their host an the angel.

"Rank and file, I should be able to get close to three, four thousand bearded devils in a day or two, a thousand Bone devils, a few hundred Ice devils and a pit feind. I can also bind a good number of Advespa's, a few Amnizu's, a few regiments of Legion Devil's, a calavry squad of Narzugon's with nightmares, a heal squad of bloodbag imps, should be able to finish binding them in a week. Of course, they would be paid, in the souls of the slain."

"Depending on how many and how strong you need. Right now I can get you two dozen of the vampires that would be lords themselves if they weren't still my slaves and about a hundred of the weaker ones. As for how many in a week?"
*shrug*
"In a week you can have four to eight times as many vampires of the same strength as the ones at the beginning, or up to thousand vampire spawn and weakest kind of vampires. Everything depends on quantity and quality of the... raw materials...
I probably could get even more... but I usually avoid turning the weakest kind..."

Vary well. Sadly I would have the souls of the dead myself as they aid in my art and I would not have them wasted on devil scum. All the same I have in my service ghosts that can posses this army that you summon. As for your brood I would rather we run through this with minimal losses. Use it as an opportunity to purge the week, and if any survive may it be that they prove themselves slightly more then the scum you take them for. I fear that my legions function differently. While it seems my legions far outnumber those you hold they are less quickly replenished, and so I fear I will commit less in number. All the same I will offer up a hundred devourers, fifty corpse gatherers, and enough ghosts to posses your legions an bind them to our call.
Smiling wickedly the pixie continues "I will also stir up enough trouble that people will believe this ruse. Naturally the necromancer will be slain by our great hero in the end which can only help us."

"My talents are limited in the area of acquiring minions, but I am an effective general, and I could help our... noble hero with my army. I can probably mobilize a few thousand peasants to fight the undead horde, and their casualties will give you ample resources to replenish your fallen."
The dread dragon pulls out a piece of paper, and starts scribbling figures on it.
"Let's see... each of your zombies can probably kill about three of my cannon fodder, so if I mobilize, say, ten thousand peasants, you should loose about three hundred soldiers each battle, for a net gain of about six hundred each battle. I prefer not to take more than ten percent casualties in the worst of fights, though, so we would want to stage a few battles where I am seen to win. Of course, your lost troops would mostly be rank-and-file zombies and skeletons..."
More writing ensues.
"That would mean that I would run out of grunts after ten major confrontations, not counting smaller battles, but I should be able to replace lost soldiers fairly quickly. Furthermore, I could probably get some nations to contribute their armies... but we should be careful, lest too many of your corpses fall in a single battle."
Than, after a final round of calculations,
"I estimate we could make the war last anywhere from five to twenty years, giving us time enough to spread plagues, launch attack after attack, and severely deplete the resources of our enemies. Than, I, along with the help of Oblivion, could kill the leaders of the forces stacked against us, and, with my own personal army that I have kept in reserve, smash the last bits of resistance."

Perplexed the pixie pauses. "As I recall our plan proceeds as follows. Fist I set about showing the undead threat. then our hero oblivion will, posing as a hero, convince the gold dragons that the heroes are evil, and that he is needed elsewhere in destroying an evil necromancer. You will be acting as the necromancer with the aid of our armies, and they will serve as cannon fodder as oblivion acts the hero slaying them. If the dragons recognize the heroes are not evil then they will all seek out oblivion for answers as he wars with this legion. As they join him in attacking cannon fodder, with oblivion as he secretly trips them up, and you go in to kill them individually as they are distracted. Perhaps it would be easier even for our brave hero to recognize their heroic bravery and request their help? Similarly I am beginning to think we may wish to wait for a solid fifty thousand devils simply to even the field, and call t a demon summoner rather then a necromancer as it seems they are more assessable... As for harvesting presents I believe I could manage that fine on my own without any unintended casualties." :smallamused:

"It's more the spirit of the matter, you know? Yeah, sure you could wipe out a village and take it's people as slaves, but it's far more pleasurable to do so while making people think that you are all that is keeping the goblins from killing them in their sleep."

Yes, but pleasures are one thing my people can not afford. If you insist on such battles we would lift the dead from the lands for you such that no forest overtakes the former battlefield, but we would not make ourselves the targets. :smallcool:

"I care not for what losses occur, as long as we come out on top. However, that does not mean minimising losses is a bad thing. If you can think of a way of replicating the plan without mass loss to your undead, it is preferable to do that. Otherwise, unless you have a better plan, you must be prepared to make the sacrifice"

Oh fear not, my losses are acceptable. But a fraction of my true force.
