Dragon #311 has a bunch of druid variants, amongst them is the wild reaper. It loses 2 skill points/level, gains spontaneous summoning (as well as spontaneous finger of death and some other useful spells), and loses plant wildshape.

In return, it gets turn undead at level 13 fast healing & fast ability healing.

Sooooo, basically all druid, but with more persistent metamagic.

Just bringing this to the attention of those who say clerics are stronger than druids :smallwink:

Yeah, if you consider Dragon canon. There probably similarly messed up things for Clerics as well. Not to mention that DMM pigeon-holes feats for a class that already has feats that you have to take, without exception.

There's always Bone Talisman (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/mb/20040721a) if you want to use Turn Undead for its core purpose.

You could pick up Knowledge Devotion to get Kn: Religion as a class skill, dip Contemplative for the Balance domain, then dip Sacred Exorcist.

You still can't get DMM: Persist at level 1, or Persistent Elation at 3rd, Persistent Mass Lesser Vigor at 5th, Persistent Divine Power at 7th, Persistent Righteous Wrath of the Faithful at 9th, Persistent Holy Star at 13th, etc. Druids are good in their niche, but they can't fill every party role like the Cleric. Basically anything a Druid can do, a Cleric can also do, but the opposite is not true. Then there's Gate, Miracle....

Don't forget Holy Transformation! Free Greater Teleports are free! (Not to mention Sacred bonuses!)
