okay, so, vow of peace makes weapons break against your skin if they fail a save. monks' bodies are treated as manufactured weapons. if a monk punches you and fails his or her save, do they "shatter against your skin?" because, as by now we are all aware, "a monk can make an unarmed attack with any part of her body"

Question. Everyone seems to assume that a Monk can use any part of his body for an Unarmed Strike. The thing is, I've never found anything that says that. Where is everyone finding this?

While the idea is amusing, it wouldn't work.

A monk’s unarmed strike is treated both as a manufactured weapon and a natural weapon for the purpose of spells and effects that enhance or improve either manufactured weapons or natural weapons
The manufactured weapon part only refers to enhance/improve their attacks.

From the Monk class description. (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/classes/monk.htm#unarmedStrike)

The PHB version goes into more detail and helps the "any part of the body" argument, but even the SRD lists several different body parts he could use.

At 1st level, a monk gains Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat. A monk’s attacks may be with either fist interchangeably or even from elbows, knees, and feet. This means that a monk may even make unarmed strikes with her hands full. There is no such thing as an off-hand attack for a monk striking unarmed. A monk may thus apply her full Strength bonus on damage rolls for all her unarmed strikes.

I see fists, elbows, knees, and feet. What about everything else?

Vow of Peace failed save does not "Enhance or Improve" the monk's body. Quite the opposite :smallcool:

EDIT: Swordsaged!

No, only the part that hit against the VoPeace. Don't headbutt them.
