Hello, I'm currently making a Paladin, and I'd like to know any items that can give him the spell Silence at will, to be cast on himself? I'm combining this with a ring of invisibility to get a full stealth combo. Thanks.

You could talk with your DM about making a custom item of use-activated Silence, using the rules for Custom Magic Items (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Creating_Magic_Items).

I did think about doing just that, but he's currently on holiday. Thanks though.

You could get some Sackles of Silence, from MIC, and put them on and make sure you still have the key. You'll need a way to fight while Shackled though (or you could just cut the chain and get the DM's permission).

Whisper Gnome (RoS) with the feat Magic in the Blood (PGtF) would get you self only Silence 3/day.

Magic Armor Special Ability: Silent Moves series grant +5, +10, or +15 to your existing Move Silently check.

Prices are 3750 gp, 15,000 gp, and 33,750 gp. Plus the cost of masterwork armor, I assume.

Yet another spot where the lack of permanency support hurts. I believe, stress the believe, that there is a really long term silence at like level 6 in one of the splats.

Sculpt Sound (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/sculptSound.htm) can make one perfectly silent, and has a good long duration too. A wondrous item of it or UMD a wand perhaps?

3 Levels of Cleric or 4 of Bard. Silence is a 2nd level spell for both of them, and they are good classes for a Paladin to dip into.

Alternatively try to get Extra Spell (Silence) past your DM.

I probably should have mentioned he was a Gray Guard/Pally Combo at 15th level that I'm building.
@ Optimator - What book is sculpt sound at?

Basically, as he is a gray guard, he does use some underhanded methods to achieve his goals, including sneaking and backstabs. However, due to the limited skill points, he's effectively becoming Batman in with an item for every occasion. :smalltongue:

Just enchanting your armor with a +15 bonus to Move Silently, as was said, is probably your better bet.
Also, you could get a wand of silence (pretty cheap for a 15th level character), or one of those eternal wands (don't remember which book), to be used when needed
