This a Diety I am working on for a campaign I am going to be the DM for in the near future as her cult will be playing a major role in said campaign and I wanted to Hammer out any minor details from her Diety profile to her offical statistics. Any and all input is welcome and appreciated.
Deity Profile:
Neytiri
The Sapphire Mother
Lesser Deity
Symbol: A blue dragon head and wings wrapped around a smooth egg shaped sapphire
Home plane: Material Plane
Alignment: Lawful Evil
Portfolio: Conquest, Dragonkind, Destuction
Worshipers: Dragonbloods, anyone looking for acceptance.
Cleric Alignment: LN, NE, LE
Domains Evil, Dragon, Destruction, Hatred, Strength
Favored Weapon: Scythe (Claws)
Dogma:
Neytiri focuses heavily on increasing the number her worshipers, propagating War, and increasing the strength of her worshipers . She enjoys watching leaders of her cults convert more people, and slowly turn its them into soldiers in order to take over a kingdom or country. Neytiri constantly seeks to extend the power and dominion of her worshipers in areas where people are being oppressed or have lived to long in peace.
Clergy:
Cleric’s of Neytiri are constantly looking for new converts to worship their “mother”, and of dragon kind and have a real soldier mentality.
Despite her youth as a deity Neytiri has earned a few allies in the form or Kord, and Hextor. She would also like to consider Tiamat an ally but there has yet to be an official alliance between the two. Neytiri’s biggest enemies are Bahamut, and Tamara due to clashing interest, and desires. While neither an ally or a enemy Neytiri respects Io, and in on surprisingly friendly terms with the ninefold dragon, and his messenger Aasterinian.
Quest:
Quest of the Sapphire mother always involve either her worshipers or war. This can be something like saving one of her captured clerics from being executed & escorting said cleric to safety or joining an army and fighting in a newly declared war.
Prayers:
Prayers to Neytiri as simple and two the point she expects her worshipers to actually speak to her instead of just requesting something of her. A typical prayer to Neytiri beings with “Hello my great mother it is I your child ‘insert name‘.” usually followed by hoping she is well, and telling her what you have done in her name recently. Only at the end of ones prayer does one ask her for the strength to continue serving her properly.
Temples:
Temples of Neytiri though few in number still vary greatly from very simple such as a sapphire alter in a cave to incredibly complex such as a large building built entirely out of sapphire into the side of a mountain. Her primary temple is located in the center of a desert carved into the inside of a mountain made entirely out of sapphire that is surrounded by a large cluster of big Oasis’s.
Rites:
Followers of Tamara conduct rites in the form of war games, and large extravagant parties in honor of a victory on behalf of the cult that last for days. Any night where a blue moon is in the sky is considered sacred to the Sapphire cult, and on these days a large bonfire is lit and ground up sapphire powder is thrown into the flame causing it to take on a blue color and is constantly fed so it burns through out the night.
Heralds and Allies:
Neytiri’s Heralds consist of her five children who reside in the Primary temple. Her sons consist of a level 20 Half Blue Dragon Human warblade, a level 20 Half Blue Dragon Dwarf Cleric/Dracolyte, a level 20 Half Blue Dragon human swordsage, and her daughters consist of a level 20 Half Blue dragon Elf Sorcerer, and a level 20 Half Blue Dragon Human Ranger.
