I have been inspired by this (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Star_War_The_Third_Gathers:_The_Backstroke_of_the_ West) and this (http://slacktory.com/2011/07/famous-movie-quotes-spoken-proper-englishman/) to create a dictionary of words or phrases with their meanings altered when applied to RPGs and other sources of great amusement (The Spanish Inquisition, other people, the internet, anything to do with small fuzzy animals, the Book of Armaments, Zero Wing, ponies, the game, mel brooks among others) and words or phrases taken out of context which have odd or quirky usage in regular conversation.

An example would be the word "posthaste," meaning "with great speed."

Translate to D&D:

Player 1: I cast Haste!

DM: Alright, who do you cast it on?

Player 1: Myself! Then I double move.

DM: Which direction?

P1: Towards the enemy caster!

P1 casts haste then double moves towards the caster.

Enemy caster casts Dispel Magic.

P1's reaction: :smalleek: > :smallmad:

Posthaste is now defined as the PC's reaction after his primary buff has been dispelled.

Another example would be PowerswitchTM. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ugFEy1pOCQ&list=ELo5dxCfGLxas&index=4&feature=plpp_video)
