Getting around Evasion/Imp Evasion

I'm currently playing a Dragonfire adept and I was wondering if there's anyway to overcome evasion and improved evasion for your breath weapon. One of the biggest downsides of the class I'm seeing is having a way to so easily negate most of its damage and it's primary ability.

You have certain breath effects that switch it to a Fort save instead of a Reflex save. Evasion only works on Reflex saves, they need Mettle or similar to get the same effect from a Fort save.

Thunder Breath (minimum 10th level) switches it to sonic/Fort. That's the only fortitude breath that they have (that deals damage, though arguably, there's some nicer status ones)
