You have 3 levels to choose.

Cheesy: Chicken Infested Commoner 1/Fighter 2 (for EWP, and other stuff like that), get proficient with the Gnomish Quick Razor, and sell the chickens until you have enough money to buy a candle of invocation (L, N, or C depending on your friends alignment)G, and 25,000 GP of diamonds, summon a Solar, have it use wish to bring the my friend back to life, out of the acid dead zone. If he doesn't want to come back, have the solar cast atonement on me, to change my alignment to the same as his, donate all your money to charity, and kill yourself so you can be with him in the afterlife.

Less Cheesy way: Assuming your the same alignment as him, kill yourself, or die doing something that supports your alignment, meet your friend in the afterlife. Be friends forever.
