Hey, I was wondering if there was anyway that someone may allow there character to get the outsider type without using PrCs (So as a ritual or some such). Thanks.

Aasimars and Tieflings (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/planetouched.htm#) get the outsider type.

The Neraph [Planar Handbook] are an LA 0/RHD 0 outsider race.

One level of the Half-Fiend Template Class (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/sp/20031010a), and there's no obligation to take more than you want (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/sp/20030824a) so you can just get the one level and never take any more.

I see this suggested a lot, but not with the caveat that you also have to be an elf, Deep Imaskari (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20031003b), or spiritfolk to take it.

Nope. It's CR +1, but there's no LA. Got to love 3.0 :smalltongue:

There is the LA 5 Unholy Scion in Heroes of Horror. A seriously badass template if you can spare the LA.

While it has no LA in the ghostwalk setting, this is because it is largely assumed that he won't be incorporeal most of the time. In a standard campaign +1 would be more appropriate. YMMV depending on DM.

If Dragon Magazine is allowed, Glimmerfolk are a fairly good choice (although absurd looking). Outsiders with -2 Str, +2 Dex and some sort of SLAs for +0 LA.

Several spells do it:

As the Frost (PHB2)
Fiendform (SC)
Holy Transformation (SC)
Holy Transformation, Lesser (SC)
Infernal Transformation (SC)
Infernal Transformation, Lesser (SC)
Visage of the Deity, Greater (SC)

And I'm sure there are others.

That's what I was going to say, because he said no prestige classes but never ruled out normal ones.

You have to be from a particular region which is inhabited by those people.

This is not correct:

Prerequisite: Deep Imaskari (Underdark [Deep Imaskar]), Elf (Evermeet, Sildëyuir), or Spirit folk (Ashane).

You must be the specified race, AND from the region in the parentheses. Even without the regional requirement, you still need the racial one.

If you had dropped the regions, the races would still be there (Elf, Deep Imaskari, Spirit folk.)
