I want to make a character for an upcoming campaign that covers as much of party support as that it can.

Ideally I'd like to cover the following areas:

Magic Item Creation
Support magic
Battlefield control
Healing
anything else you can think of

The character will be starting between levels 4 and 6.

Any good ideas?

Any full divine caster, or a Bard, could fill all those roles.

I didn't think of bard, that could work.

Well, this (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=13120545#post13120545) would cover most of your requests.
Basics of the build are Oracle w/Life Mystery (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/oracle/mysteries/paizo---oracle-mysteries/life) for 3+ levels, followed by Paladin Hospitaler (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/paladin/archetypes/paizo---paladin-archetypes/hospitaler) Archetype for 4+ levels.
Please refer to that post for more detail, I shall summarize here.

Stat-wise it needs good CHA and CON.

As Oracle you grab the Channel and Life Link Revelations.
As Paladin the Hospitaler trades away some uses of Smite Evil for a separate Channeling pool (you have Full Lay-on-Hands AND 3+CHA channels/day).

Life Link 'gives' your HP to your linked allies so you only have to worry about healing yourself most of the time (barring Emergencies). And you can Lay-on-Hands-Self as a Swift action, leaving your Move/Standard/Full to do whatever you want.

The best Race choice is probably Gnome (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/races/core-races/gnome) for the +2 Con, +2 Cha, and the Favored Class bonus of extra healing with Lay-on-Hands.
The only other races with +Con and +Cha are Merfolk (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/races/other-races/uncommon-races/arg-merfolk) and Gillmen (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/races/other-races/uncommon-races/arg-gillmen).
Merfolk are Medium, also have +2 Dex, and you'd want the Alt. Racial trait to improve their landspeed to 15ft.
Gillmen are Medium, have a penalty to Wis, and you'd want either of the Alt. Racial traits that remove the Water Dependent ability.

Though I don't have as much experience in Pathfinder as I do in D&D 3.5, I can allude to the bard being one of the best support classes out there. I imagine you could do a cleric build to support it as well, especially with how they get more spells than bards, even if they aren't as good with skills.

I suggest either Oracle or Summoner.

Oracles get some pretty handy spells, and, depending on their mystery, they can get some very nice revelations. The heavens domain, for example, makes you a master with Color Spray, lets you send enemy casters into a non-casting Rage with a no-save touch, and Moonlight Bridge can be used for some immediately battlefield control.

Summoner can really fill this roll as well. The Master Summoner variant allows you to have multiple summons on the field at once, and once you get into Summon Monster 4-5 and higher, this really shines. Summoner spells list is pretty great for support anyways, since it gives you Haste, Slow, Black Tentacles, Protection from _____ spells, and many other staple buffs/debuffs. There is no healing with the Summoner, really, but pump your UMD with a high Cha and you can grabs some wands a little later in the game.

I'm going to go with Vitalist.

You take healing out of the action economy (you can let your allies swift heal themself for whatever amount you want), nothing beats that as far as healing goes.

You have great battle control since you can switch your allies around.

You have acces to a diverse list of awesome buffs and can share them with everyone.

You also get some additional stuff: telepathy for everyone, a great perception skill. If you want there's some neat offensive stuff (direct damage or de-buffing), nothing game breaking but you can contribute there as well if needed.

No summoning or item creation, but who needs either really?

Vitalists can do both just fine, they'll just need feats to do it.

Astral Constructs are particularly useful for them because they can be added to their collective. This gives you power over your AC comparable to that of a Shaper. You can also target it with buffs that would normally be invalid.

I suggest a full divine caster, either a cleric with support-friendly domains (I like Liberation + Luck (Fate) myself) or an Oracle with appropriate mystery (probably Life).

You could then prestige into Pathfinder Savant to grab a few of the excellent support spells off the bard list (while bards have excellent support spells, they don't do healing all that well). Spells like Gallant Inspiration, Good Hope, Jester's Jaunt, Bard's Escape and Brilliant Inspiration will really make your party love you.
