Weapons of Legacy Book Dm Assistance

I would like folks balance thoughts on the book , a player would like to use it, and am not sure how balanced it really is , as it is a new concept for myself. I don't want him to have weapons above his level, while other players are going about with money to buy new things.

WoL is the most perfect example of "great idea, poor execution" ( with the Truenamer being the other one). The problem lies on using the pre-statted weapons as most of them really suck (plus the costs to un,ock the higher tier abilitiee are not that cheap IIRC).

My suggestion is that if you want to use them in your game, let your player fund his own legacy weapon and work with him to creat one that is hs the power level you are comfortable with and also to the liking of the player. If you are going this path Imwould suggest for you to talk your other players into using WoL too.
