I was just trying to post a reply to the BattleTech thread in Other Gaming, but when I went to preview it, I got redirected to a 403 forbidden white page which read "You don't have permission to access /forums/newreply.php on this server."

I tried replying to a couple other random threads around the forum and got the same result.

Curiously, it still lets me start new threads.

You likely hit the filter put on the site by the host. Did you post contain the word "lynx" followed by a space, or a colon followed by two spaces? Those are the two most common causes.

If so, to fix it:

lynx

To fix the colon plus two spaces, just remove one of the spaces - you don't need it anyway, since your browser will display one space.

Yes, actually, I did. Thanks.

That is a curiously random restriction...

It has to do with one (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lynx_(protocol)) of (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lynx_(web_browser)) these (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lynx_(programming_language)), and possible ways for a hacker to exploit security holes to break into a server that uses it.

None of which are actually installed on the server, making this an extra pointless block, but it comes as part of the package.
