PTA: Rocketing Forward (IC)

Team Rocket, known for it's many criminal actions and deeds in the Pokemon world. It's headquarters is a mystery to all but it's members, as well as what shadowy hand guides it. Now you are privvy to it's secets as well and it's mission.

You all find yourselves in a large office like room. A jet black mahogany desk illuminates with the teams trademark R in bright red on it's face. Behind sits the man you meet from earlier, he still has yet to give you his name. He smiles as you stand their, looking over your indiviual files before speaking.

"Well, you've all done even better then I expected of you. In these short months you have moved up ranks in our little group faster then most. Now it's time for you to step out of being mere grunts though, it's time to make a impact." He lays out four separate dossier folders in front of you all. Already open, each one describes a Executive of Team rocket, their fields of expertise and place in the organization.

"These are your mentors, per say, they shall provide you with ways to achieve your dreams. Whether it be conquering the league, to merely conquering the contest stage. Of course I too have a few tips and tricks to help you help me, but, I would rather see what they can do with you first."

(The Dossier folders are all in the OOC under Rocket NPCs. I do not need you all to go to the same person as your are not a established team of trainers/pokemon. So feel free to go visit whomever you think will help you with your goals the most.)

Clay looks at the dossiers. He likes his current body; the suit was a nice addition. Pity he had to kill the guy on that job.

Clay looks through the the dossiers, ignoring the other people at first. Athena might be beneficial in the future, but right now Clay just doesn't have the time to dig through musty old ruins. Maybe later, but not now. Lance could be fun. Definitely easy to mess with when you have skills such as Clay. He may just have to hit him up at a latter date. Ace, well, Gym Battles weren't really Clay's thing. One on six rarely ends well.

Apollo... While catching rare and powerful Pokemon may not quite be his thing, encountering them would definitely be beneficial.

Clay, still not quite talking to the other contestants, heads over to Apollo. Before he goes though, as soon as he is behind the others, copies the body of one of the women. In his experience at least, male humans responded better to females.

"This will do...." he mutters to himself.

Checking out his new form and clothes, Clay heads out to meet Apollo.

Rasa examines the dossiers. One immediately jumps out as the frontrunner, but he figures he'll give each some thought.

Athena certainly appealed to Rasa's desire to understand the likely legendary beast that felled his father, and forced evolution seemed like a potential shortcut to gain some power. But in the end, he wanted to earn his own strength and he knew he wouldn't have the patience to study myths.

Lance...was not worth any thought whatsoever.

Ace held Rasa's attention for a bit. The trainer Rasa sought vengeance on was probably very high up the world rankings. But organized combat wasn't exactly Rasa's cup of tea, so he decided to pass.

That left Apollo, Rasa's initial choice. This man would provide Rasa with what he wanted and needed: tough training and the chance to gain powerful allies.

With that in mind, Rasa heads off to meet Apollo. "Let's see if you live up to your reputation, human."

Can we as pokemon speak to humans?

"ugh! I hate this uniform"Brent mutters to himself. Not a fan of lances fashion choices so I probably don't want to run any jobs for him.

Brent looks over the rest of the names.

Apollo would give me some opportunities to pick up some different kinds of pokemon and more kinds of pokemon means more ways to break in to places, and being able to do that should help me climb he ladder here. after mulling that thought for a bit he decides to go for it and heads for Apollos office.

Sigma buzzes as he leaves a computer, pauses to look at the others, and sparks into a speaker, a vaguely male voice crackling from the device. -A coordinator, an archaeologist, an ace and a newbie killer... pardon me I say that I'm not a fan of our options... Muk it, I'm sticking with one of you.- He looks out from the speaker. Not the Ditto. At least not right now. They were always fun guys, from what he had seen, but he wasn't going to go and get himself killed for Apollo's amusement like those who had already left. Just as cocky as his old trainer. Survival first, fun second. Hm, what else have we got? He had seen a few of TR's records in the past, match faces to pictures... Hm, the girl the Ditto didn't copy had the same starter as Damian. Maybe a Scyther won't kill that one. Such squishy little creatures, Ralts. Odd. Not much on any of them, human or mon. Eh, follow the other girl. Be a switch from Damian. Apparently she was a budding Bodysnatcher. Could be interesting. With a hum he leaves the speaker and when the girl isn't looking, hops into her Pokégear.

Melody skims through the dossiers, making mental notes of the of each individual. Perhaps to see Athena when she had the chance to, seeing how she always had a bit of an interest in myths and legends. Lance seem interesting to hit up at some point, but not right now. She didn't really care much for Ace for the time being. She could check out Apollo, but the mystic in her really wanted to see more about the myths and legends.

"Chim!" At that moment, the little firery monkey riding on Melody's shoulder tugged on some of her hair and directed her attention to the copy of herself exiting the room.

She smirked as she witnessed this. Let it go, Wukong. Let's see how that plays out later. Besides, we've got places to be. The then exited the room and headed over to Athena's office.

Apollo's Office
Apollo looked up as the three entered his office. He didn't see much in them at first glance although the Deino was intriguing. He wondered how long these ones would last.

"Well, you must be new here. At least to this floor I mean, hopefully you can prove more competant then the other Rockets I've dealt with in the past." He continued looking them over, something about the girl who came in was different but he couldn't quite figure it out. He walks over to a file cabinet retrieving a pair of folders and takes a seat behind his desk. "The work I give isn't for the squishy or squeemish type, so I hope you can handle it. What we have right now is some information on two places of interest. The first is Mount Crater, it's just south of here though you may encounter some wild Pokemon on the way. We've been monitoring that location and it seems a pair of mated Drudigon have decided to lay offspring there. With those dragons we could increase our power even further thanks to their innate ferocity. We want you to retrieve at least three eggs for us, as for the parents do what you need to. The second place is known as Grimholm Manor, a few our agents have disappeared there, others ran like cowards. It is safe to assume a ghost of some sort is involved. The place itself has a history that keeps locals away from it, it would be a excellent outpost for our activities.

Athena's Office
As you walk in you see the walls lined with artifacts and ancient glyphs written in Alph. The office itself seems like a dig as the red haired woman behind the desk smiles at you.

"Welcome, I assume you are here because you have a interest in what I do. Well if that's the case I'm sure we'll get along. First off I should tell you that most of the places I search are off the regular beaten path. So we will have to use the Helicopter to reach them, I hope you are not afraid of flying. Second, Pokemon to me a moot point, the knowledge in the ruins and artifacts themselves are much more important to me. That's not to say you cannot have a nice capture here and there but I will only concern a capture in my work if the creature is worthy of it. Now as for assignments, right now we a excavating some new-found ruins in the Deserts of Unova. That or if you would like more well known areas, we also are looking into a small temple we recently found east of here. It seems to be in worship to some pokemon of sorts but we haven't seen any people going to or from the place in the weeks of monitoring."

Rasa listened to the choices and couldn't help but cringe a bit at the Mount Crater assignment. It sounded eerily similar to his own situation, a mated pair of dragons being separated from their offspring. Rasa knew better than to question Team Rocket's methods, though.

"I'll go to Grimholm Manor. I tend to get along very well with ghosts," Rasa said with a grin. He did indeed enjoy biting them very much. They, on the other hand, did not have as great of a time. "And for the record, don't worry. I can handle it."

Melody gives Athena a warm smile after giving a quick glace around he room. Why, yes I am interested in your field of work. She then pauses to consider the options of assignments. I think this would prefer the temple at this time. What else can you tell me of the nearby temple? Or is that what I am to find out?

"Other then it's location I can tell you that it houses some unique Pokemon such as Vulpix and Chimeco. There might be others but those are the ones my agents have seen most frequent the site. They shouldn't bother you to much, the Chimeco are harmless and the Vulpix are skittish, be on guard though for anything we may have missed." She hands you a map to the ruins as well as a basic set of adventuring gear (a rope, first aid kit, flashlight, etc).

((Oh, sidenote, everyone human has a pokedex like machine (Rocketdex :smalltongue:. they can act as a pokedex does and as a communicator/camera))

Melody's [redacted to] Rocketdex makes a muffled speaking noise. "Chimecho and Vulpix? This will be easy! Hey babe, take me out of your pocket! Love the view, but wanna be a bit more clear sounding when I speak to the boss lady! Miss Athena, whatcha need us to do in these runes anyways?"

Looked at the girl for a moment, not appearing to shocked by the second voice. She obviously has had stranger things happen. "Our main objective is to retrieve a documentation of the temples inner sanctum. tapestries, old scrolls, even artifacts. They may lead us to figure out what they were used for and if they can be of use to us. The temple itself is two floors, a ground floor and a upper floor, the rooms we have yet to explore fully are located on the top floor. Some where locked, others we just left for later.

(First aid kit contains: 3 potions, 2 burn heals, 2 antidotes and 5 oran berries. there is also a set of bandages for human injuries or minor scrapes. [bandages heal 1d10+5])

[Major]

In the most flashy way he could, Jackson flipped through the various booklets on the Admins with a bored look. He was in it for the money and fame and to give the finger to the government, he honestly didn't care who he worked with.

Opening the first one he smirked, a chick was always fun to work with. Plus if he could seduce her there was benefits to sleeping with the boss, plus if worse came to worse that other female had headed to visit her and she was easy on the eyes. Still, he didn't feel like climbing around in ruins, he was too cool for that. Unhappy with the first option he tossed it down and glanced at the next one.

Lance was an *******. He cared more about being cool, than looking pretty. If he wanted to look pretty he'd go be a girl or join some Japanese anime. Those animes they showed on TV always had girly looking boys. He was glad that he wasn't in an anime. Still, despite his stupid personality, lame love of beauty, and overall gayness, he DID run the pokemon contest. Reluctantly, Jackson set the folder down to consider.

Next up was Ace, and while Jackson loved Ace's style, his goals and methods were a drag. It was much cooler to show off and get fangirls than it was to go beat up animals. He found most the girls he knew enjoyed his cute Zigzagoon or his cool Ralts, not some ugly brute. Thus, Jackson chucked that folder over his shoulder.

Finally was Apollo. He had seen what Team Galactic used to wear and there was no way in hell he was going to hang out with someone that uncool. He didn't even open the folder and merely gagged and threw it away.

Jackson let out a sigh as he realized that left him with one choice. ******* Lance it was. Annoyed that he'd have to deal with an uncool pretty boy, Jackson headed toward Lance's office.

Lances office
Lance sat in a office of bright lighting and modern art furnishings. he lingered behind the desk not doing much work but instead gazing into a mirror set on the station. He barely even noticed anyone coming in.

"Oh.. why hello there. I'm guessing you're trying to hit the big stage hmmm, flash it up a bit and show all those losers what talent looks like when it shines!" On the cue word of shines Lance strikes a pose as small lights flicker behind him. It was obvious he had set that up ahead of time, and that he has way to much of it. "Well first things first, we gotta get you to a contest and I've got just the one." Pulling out a flyer he smacks it onto the table. "Nearby here is a town called Spring Heights, a total wash of a place, but they do have one thing an annual fair and contest pageant." He looks excited to even be talking about contests, and far to into it. "It shouldn't be to hard for you, there are three categories this year; Cool, Cute, and Tough. All the trainers participating are locals but then again that means they've done this before. There's a route east of here that'll take you right to town, you might even find some good Pokemon to help you win along the way."

"'sup dude," Clay says, hopping into a chair, the skirt he's wearing flying up a bit at the sudden change in direction.

Both areas were tempting. The body of a Druddigon.... Well, that would be useful. Very useful. But a ghost.... That would be almost as useful as well! Pity both would become weak to that if he shifted... Pulling out a slip of paper, he looks at a Type Advantage sheet. With his current forms he was far better equipped to handle a Dragon.

"I'll head to Mount Crater, see what I can do about those Druddigon. Dragon's are always fun to part with."


He turns to the Deino. "You're a little cocky kid," he says, striding over to the Pokemon. "If you don't mind, I'll be borrowing this from you," he says, touching the Deino on the head. In a flash the gelatinous body of the Ditto had changed into another Deino.

"Yes, this will do," he says with a grin in a more gravelly voice than before. This will definately do...."

Store Deino.

"So, do I get any cool toys before I head out or am I stuck with what I got?"

[Dragonsage]

Melody's eyes widen and her body straightens as the voice emanated from her pocket. She reached into her pocket and pulled out the rocketdex. She started to press random buttons on the thing to see what was wrong with it. What are you? And what do you mean by the view?! She slightly blushed as she furrowed her brows at the machine.

Wukong, amused by this, is laughing and dancing on Melody's shoulder.

Brent not being the most sociable type remains silent as he enters the room

when apollo take out the files he takes out his heavily modded rocketdex and take a quick picture of the contents of each as he reads them. "not the best use of my talents"he mutters beneath his breath.

he then turns away from the group and types into his rocketdex

so what do think hax? dragons at the end of a nature walk,
or an old house which probably has no machinery more complex than an egg timer?

the screen bugs out for a sec and then displays the words

are there any slot machines to blow up along the nature route?
he types back

I'm afraid not

the screen spazzes some in frustration and then arranges the letters

sigh... well then an egg timer is better than nothing

he puts the rocketdex away and turns back to apollo which is probably giving him a funny look for texting in his office "*cough*... I'll take the manor assignment sir. Is there a place on base where I can acquire equipment for the mission? my last job depleted my stock"

The buttons still function as normal. Power still turns it off, but it jumps right back to life, though skipping the stupid startup screen is kind of nice. "'Ey! You're gonna bust something if you aren't careful! Just was currious to see what kind of person wasn't going to suicidally charge off to Apollo. Apparently it's the jumpy kind. That's alright, better than the dead kind. Be out in a sec." Your phone heats up for a second before a spark comes off of it, forming into a Porygon. "Hmph. Prefer speaking from a device. More natural for myself." The voice is a lot more monotone than the one in the device. Think HAL 3000 vs a defective Portal turret.

Apollo
"Hmm, yes there is a shop in the base town if you need it as well as a Pokecenter. Other then that I supose I can be kind of nice to you all. Reaching into his desk he hands each of you 2 super Potions, and for those going to the manor, a Sliph Scope. "Anything else you need you can obtain in town."

[Arcran]

Clay nods his little Deino head. "I appreciate the gifts. Now, if you'll excuse me," he says, shifting into his true, Ditto form, "I have places to go."

With that, he starts to head out the door. Before he is quite out though, he gets an idea. He turns into a Super Potion and lays sideways by the door, trying to seem as if he was dropped.

Sitting on a comfy sofa looking around at everyone, hope giggles at the talking pokemon, it's been 3 months sense she has join and she still can't get over that pokemon are talking without her psychic abilities.
She looks at the dossiers and skims through them. Oh it's Ms Athena i met her a couple times, she seems nice. Mr Lance is here to, it was fun talking about fashion with him that one time. Mr Ace, i've seen him before but never talked to him. And Mr Apollo, well i guess thats it i guess i'll go see Ms Athena.
Hope heading over to Athena's office opens the door. Hello Ms Athena i'm here for work!

Athena returns the smile as she sees another entrant, "Well it seems I drew the female side of the spectrum this time. it's nice to see you here. We were just discussing the assignment, a temple east of here. The copter of course shall be available to drop you off at it's front gate. From there though you'ld be on your own until you call for a pickup." Reaching down she retrieved a set of supplies identical to those she had handed Melody earlier.

Melody stares at the porygon that suddenly appeared from the rocketdex, as a startled Wukong climbed down onto her back. Not so funny now huh? She said to Wukong before speaking to the Porygon. So then you're going to accompany me then? Very well. She then took the map and supplies, before someone else entered the room.

Melody eye'd the girl and smirked. Sweet. More people to work with. She turned to Athena. Well, I'm ready to go if everyone else is. We can probably catch princess here up to speed on the way.

[Yukikage]

A big smile devolopes on Hope's face.Ohhhh FREEBIES!! I love freebies. She takes the supplies and puts them in her bag. Yay i get to work with another girl, i rarly get to work with another girl, every time i work with guys they always hit on me.

"What, I'm a girl now? Very well. Let me just change voices." He hums, and a voice perfectly identical to the previous speaks. "There, better." He examines the girl who would be joining them. What was in her file? By how she dressed...prostitute? Oh, Empath with anger issues. Muk, have to actually be nice to her. "Basic gist: Explore upper level of ruins. Should be easy. Wilds are mostly skittish. And word of advice: If you don't want guys hitting on you, don't dress like a w***e."

Rasa is amused by the Ditto's antics. "It's not cocky if I can back it up."

Rasa accepts the super potions and silph scope with a nod. "Thank you, sir." He turns to leave, stepping over the now-super-potion Ditto. "Weirdo," he mutters.

Athena
Ignoring the comments flying around her office she returned to her desk. "The transport is indeed all fueled up, there is also a store nearby if you need anything. The pilot will be awaiting for you when you're ready.

Apollo
returned to looking over a few papers, most likely file on other rockets as the others left.

"I have already spent most funds that I have access to. Intending to save to teach myself." He hops into Melody's dex again. "Alright babe, come on, chop chop, we're burning daylight!"

Rasa heads for Grimholm Manor, following Appolo's directions.

Melody shrugs as the Porygon disappears back into the rocketdex. Wukong climbs back up and pokes at it a few times. We'll be on our way then. She give Athena a nod before grabbing the other girl by the arm. Come along princess. Got work to do. She then pulled the girl out of the room and headed for the choppa.

Rasa is amused by the Ditto's antics. "It's not cocky if I can back it up."

Rasa accepts the super potions and silph scope with a nod. "Thank you, sir." He turns to leave, stepping over the now-super-potion Ditto. "Weirdo," he mutters.

"Hey, who you 'calling weird? At least I'm not stuck in a body with a mile long neck all day," the Ditto says, reverting to its normal form.

"How's about we settle this like adults. You. Me. Outside. Now. First one to drop unconscious loses."

[Yukikage]

Were going to go flying? Yaaay this is going to be fun, i havn't flown in a long time. Hope is obviously having a good time while she's dragged out with the other girl. Oh bye bye Ms Athena! She waves at Athena before she leaves the room.

"Hey, who you 'calling weird? At least I'm not stuck in a body with a mile long neck all day," the Ditto says, reverting to its normal form.

"How's about we settle this like adults. You. Me. Outside. Now. First one to drop unconscious loses."

"What's up your...gelatinous... orifices...? But you know what? That actually sounds like fun. Let's make it a little more interesting, though. We each picked a different place to go, but we both know there's safety in numbers. Your versatility is clearly a strength, and your little cheat sheet there will tell you that I have a type advantage in either location. So loser sucks it up and goes where the winner wants to go. Sounds good to you?"

Clay grins. He finds his way to a park with a nice open area.

"This will do. Now, as for the scared, no. The Druddigon just provide a better opportunity for, advancement, shall we say. Tell you what; I'll swing by that Manor first either way then hit the Crater on the way back. Now, let's get started!" the Ditto shouts, body stretching and twisting as you try to do you first move. Soon a majestic bird is formed and launches itself high into the air with a powerful flap of its wings.

Clayface uses Transform as an Intercept so it's his turn first. Transform into Pidgeotto, use Sky Speed to fly up 10 meters.

Brent collects his freebies and heads for the pokemart on the way there he takes out his rocketdex and types

I am going to head to the dorm to put on my arm and change out of this ridiculous suit then I'm going to stop by the pokemart before heading to the manor in the mean time I want you to surf the net and gather any info you can on this manor joint like where is it, former residents, pokemon sighted there, ghost stories, floor plans anything got it?

and when you are done I'll enter the password so you can play angry pidgies

suddenly the rocketdex speaker goes "YAY!!" and the screen is now filled with words "angry pidgey" and smiley faces over and over.

brent puts the rocketdex away and after donning civvies and strapping on his home made exo-mech arm enters the pokemart and picks up 4 basicballs, 1 greatball, 2 paralyze heals, 2 awakenings, and a revive

as he places his selection on the counter he says to the cashier "hey what can you tell me about that old manor near town?"

"Game on." Rasa instantly changed moods once the battle started. This Ditto had made the unfortunate mistake of making Rasa take it seriously. Its transformation into a bird makes Rasa salivate a bit. He had a nasty surprise in store once he got close. But then it flew way up into the air, and Rasa realized he was in trouble. None of his attacks could reach that far. Hopefully it would come down to attack.

"Game on." Rasa instantly changed moods once the battle started. This Ditto had made the unfortunate mistake of making Rasa take it seriously. We sorted out the details together on google docs, by the way. Arcran isn't taking Rasa's ineptitude for granted...we mutually arrived there :smalltongue:
Upon realizing what the Ditto's plan was, Rasa mutters, "Oh you cheeky little..." Gust after gust rained down on him, and Rasa was unable to respond in any way. But a fight was a fight, and he had agreed to it. Eventually, the pain proved too much and he fell down, unconscious.

[Arcran]

"Ha! Suck my psuedo- oh, you're unconscious," the Ditto grumbles, alighting on the ground. "Suppose I have to take you to the Center now," the Pidgeotto mutters, picking up the Deino and starting to fly slowly to the Center. On the flight he looks out for any potentiall useful Pokemon forms: specifically strong Dark types, Electric Types, or Butterfree. He'd turned into one of those before he was made better. Loads of fun.

Upon reaching the Center, Clay looks around, hoping to see a Chansey.

"Well, we're here," he says, getting in line. "You do know you're paying me back for this, right?" he says to the unconscious body.

Ditto and Deino

After being patched up and recuperated (both of the Pokemon ppls), you are allowed to continue with your mission. You both spot Brent in the store next door chatting it up with the shopkeeper. [in the center Pokemon you saw other then you two were Chansey and Audino. And a fish tank full of Luvdisc.]

Brent
The shopkeeper thinks for a moment trying to be sure. "Oh you're heading to Ghostholm huh. Yeah that place lies west of her, just take the south exit and take the road forking west. It's pretty easy to spot since there is almost nothing else around it."

(I assume town you mean is the contest laden one,alright then travel roll time)

While walking along the road you spot a glint from the nearby grass. it looks like small sparks flying back and forth two points. On closer inspection you see it is two Pokemon apparently play sparring together. They fire small non damaging sparks from their two plug like appendages on their heads while they push each other.

Melody and Hope
The helicopter ride ensured that you would only arrive at the temple without and problems, such as a random pokemon attack. Now standing in front of the old ruins you feel as if something is watching you (and it's not just the Porygon in your dex). The doors are already open form the previous teams exploration, inviting you to make your own trek through the halls.

EDIT: I knew I forgot something, Ditto gained 600 xp form beating Deino

Sigma leaps out of the dex and "stretches" before looking around his environment. Hm, if there were Chimecho here, best prepare as best you can. Sigma gives a faint hum for a second, and becomes paler and more translucent for a moment, before returning mostly to normal. That should help prevent any Uproar problems for him. "Lady and tramp, if you are both ready, we may begin. I suggest bringing out one mon out now for protection."

You pass by the Rocket at the guardpost, she seems to be pretty vigilant in her job as you spot a large Rat Pokemon standing near her to help guard. (whenever you guys wanna head out just put it in I'll get your walking rolls up.)

Scanning through the memories of the Purrloin find that it actually has quite a stash of pilfered items that it keeps holed up in a room in the temple it uses. You also see through it's eyes that their seems to be a few Pokemon here that the Rockets missed deeper in the temple. One of these Pokemon appears to be a red armored beetle that seems to be related to a razor blade judging by it's hands. Apparently it has a rival as you see it dueling with another Pokemon a weasel like creature that apparently knows kungfu.
The Purrloin Nyas cheerfully when your scan of it's mind is finished and begins leading your group carefully.

As you walk the path to the manor you come on the fork that Brent heard of. The part he didn't hear of was the fact that the Manor was in a forest. Pressing forward you hear some movement through the branches. Looking up you catch sight of 3 black birds looking down at you. They begin krowing to each other.

Murkrow1: "Heh more idiots walking into trouble again."
Murkrow2: "Yeah but it gives us something to laugh at, how soon before they run screaming huh?"

Following the Purrloin down the right hall it lead you to another room. Inside are several small pieces of jewelry piled in the corner. a ladder leads to the second floor of the temple. You can hear movement above you but your guide seems to not regard it. Most likely she is to used to the sounds here and doesn't care for whatever it is.

Manor
The head Murkrow looks down at Rasa while one of his lackies speaks up.
"Wow, he heard us."
He has too, with all that hair in his face he can't very well see us."
they crack up at their own joke before responding to your question. "Most we know is it sure is a entertaining place, something is there but we're not crazy enough to go look at what it is. Sometimes though we hear laughter form the attic."

Well first pick a spot on the grid that you release Hax, then make an attack. you roll 1d20 for the attack and then the damage if it does any. If you use a move that is the same type as you you add a STAB bounus to it which is your pokemon's level /5 I believe. Look at Rasa's attack above for more detail on it.

The multicolored breath flies past the birds but does manage to tag the second Murkrow as the first jumps up to avoid the stream.

Jackson grins as he sees the entry for Elekid. They were perfect for what he needed and he had wanted an Electbuzz for sometime. As he watched the two he tried to evaluate which one seemed stronger as he released his Zigzagoon next to him and whispered orders.

Once his evaluation was complete he quickly ordered Zigzagoon to headbutt the weaker Elekid. He smirked after the headbutt was launched, "You want to know who is stronger? I am. Come with me and I'll help you gain that strength you want." He said to the other one.

If these two pokemon have been fighting each other for a while then there's no doubt that there experienced fighters, we should be careful as they may attack us on sight as well. Hope looks over at gothita. Be ready Azmaria looks like we may be going into a fight soon.

A quick trip back to town and some healing gets you all ready again. Back on the road you find no trouble in getting back to the forest and finally the manor just as the sun is setting.

It seems that according to the map these used to be a bed chamber for monks living here. From here you could either head to the mess hall,the courtyard, or the second floor.

Brent cautiously steps through the door and pulls out his rocketdex he overlays the map from the realty site over the radar and turns up the sensitivity to 50 meters. if its dark then assume he is occasionally flipping the screen around to use as a light to look for a light switch he is also paying particular attention to the floor.

The Purrloin looks up to Melody, "Well I've been here for about 3 months but you pick these things up fast if you want to survive." Upon entering you hear rummaging from within the large dining hall. Light emanating from low on the ground leads your gaze to spot two small fox like creatures scavenging what they can. The Purrloin tenses when she sees them, probably not being much of a fighter and more of a opportunist at heart.

Manor
As Brent steps up to the front door his radar goes off as he hears a laugh from above. Followed by a cracking sound, as chunks of tile from the roof is falling straight towards him! (Ref: DC 10) or suffer [roll0]

Looking over to his injured comrade, the Elekid blinks at how easy it had been for this human to have knocked him around. He turned back and putting his arms to his side took a quick bow, "Ele kid!" raising a arm out towards Jackson in recognition of his power and his proposal.

Sigma buzzes nervously. Better not be fire. He only knew of two fox-like mons and the one they were warned about were fire. Just be calm, don't start anything...

Clay feels as if he hasn't been quite here the whole time, but he's back into it now. He sees the tile fall, but says nothing. It'd be much funnier for it to hit him.

Melody scans the fox pokemon as Wukong's hands tightened on her shoulder, some what itching for a fight. Patience Wukong. Lets see what they are first.

The tile fall harmlessly by a Brent's radar pings a few times before going silent. The interior of the house look like any normal one would, give or take years of nonexistent maintenance. Dusty shelves and weather wallpaper adorn most of the room. Stairs leading to the second floor as well as two doors leading east and one west. According to the map in Brent's Dex, the doors to the west lead to the kitchen and reading room. The one to the east leads to a rather large room used for entertaining guests.

Temple
The Fox creature have not noticed you, or if they have seem much more interested in the food they are trying to retrieve. They register as Vulpix on Melody's Pokedex, one f the things you were told of living here. Through the darkened area the Rocketdex's scanning apparatus seems to pick up another Pokemon in the vicinity, perhaps hiding or coming this way. The de takes a few seconds shifting from Vulpix to a red armored beetle-like creature before dinging out the name Pawniard.

Clay turns into his Audino. At least in this form he had big ears; maybe he could hear the ghosts or something. He strides into the room, looking around, wishing he'd picked up a Silph Scope.

Hax did you pinpoint where those radar pings were coming from I was kinda "distracted" Brent takes out his silph scope and takes a look around with it making a point to also check the ceiling

"Hold, Hope. Let's not startle them yet. For one, there's a Pawniard just over there. It looks like it is related to the the thing that left the helmet we saw earlier." Sigma watches the Pawniard intently. Not much he could do to fight it back. Would resist anything he threw at it. Still, damage is damage.

Kinda, they were a bit sccatered as if it were multiple signals, they seemed to come from near the roof though, most likely the second floor or attic
As you look around with the Silph scope you see some movement along the ceiling. a Gaseous ball seems to be following a set path and making it's way to the siting room (the large room to the east)

The Pawniard either does not notice you or does not care, it seems focused on the Vulpix. moving over towards the two creatures their ears pick up when it gets close as they move to rush off.

A brick wall bars passage to the Attic, something glows on the wall though, you can see that with your scope.

A large king size mattress sits in the middle of the room, another door leading ot the bathroom for this prestigious area. On a mantle sits a painting of a rather portly man with a very cheesy grin on his face.

@Yuki: (even though that was a horrid roll for capture I'll fudge it since that Vulpix is both grateful and wounded so it would be silly for it to not be happy to go with you)

The Vulpix appreciate the affection they are given as the Purrloin comes out of hiding. "Well that's one of them, thankfully that was the more violent one, so there should be one left only."

Clay looks around, but pauses when he sees the picture.

"Jugdement, still can't figure out how to run that Upgrade I downloaded. Keeps sending data after I fight for some reason." His voice warps from the usual monotone briefly. He still eyes the Vulpix carefully.

Your scanner begins to make a picture of the Pokemon that is emit the reading.

Gengar, the shadow Pokemon. known for cruel pranks and sometimes fatal accidents, they were once believed to steal the soul of people by occupying their shadows and draining their lifeforce. As if responding to you call you hear a laugh from the wall as a smile appears on it and disappears back through the brick.
Clay
As you deftly knock the portrait down. the frame clatters as a small ceramic fragment is found inside it. It appears to be a piece of a broken luxury ball.

Wukong approaches the other vulpix and begins to chatter and dance around it. He's trying to convince it us to join us. Melody watched the monkey dance. It maybe willing to go with it's friend.

Clay sighs in relief. He'd expected a ghost to fly out and attack him.

But the Luxury Ball.... Clay can't help but tap it a few times with his foot, see what happens.

The Vulpix seems to redden a slight tinge at the propsal of joining and nods. (yay -1 ball +1 vulpix it has the same stats as the other but is Bashful nature)
The Purrloin jumps on a nearby table and then to the rafters. "I think the thing you are looking for is in the courtyard, though that' only a guess."

Clay
Tapping the ball seems to produce no ill effects. The capture mechanism on it must be broken or something. Whatever it used to hold in it has long since escaped, it may still be in the manor or somewhere else entirely.

Clay checks around the room, making sure he missed nothing. If he finds nothing, he heads up to the attic.

Hope has a wide smile as the pokeball dings. She picks up the pokeball. Welcome to the team, i'll give you a name when we get back to the center. She puts the pokeball in her jacket and gets ready to press on.

The feline shrugs "I assume the same as anyone really, shiny things. Treasures, money, stuff like that." She stretches before leaping down, "I've got plenty so I don't mind if you take something from there"

Manor
Clay arrives just as the wall is talked too. In response to Hax's plea of "lets be friends" a slight chuckle leaves the wall as the bricks fall apart revealing the once walled stairs. Brent's shadow shows no sign of infestation by Gengar when he checks it. The way ahead to the attic is cleared now as if inviting you in.

Nice negotiation Wukong. Melody placed the two balls away as the monkey climbed back up on her shoulder and cheered. She then turned her attention to the Purrloin and wanted for it's answer.

"Good to know. We can go through there on the way out."

"What're we up against?" Clay asks, looking at the nerd. He really didn't want to go further into the attic.

Yeah... Melody ducks though the space the Sigma made when he disappeared and stepped away. No thank you princess.

Oh both of you are no fun. Hope gets pouty and kicks a random rock.

Sigma jumps out of the dex and floats ahead with the Purrloin. "You'll get over it, princess. You did join us, after all. Did you expect us to be a big, happy family or something? This job is rough. The people and mons here aren't nice. You know what they did to my trainer when he Muked up? Shot him. Square in the head. Died instantly, as far as I could tell. The guy who did it was laughing about it as he did so. Shot his group that he was with too. Last one was shot in the gut so that he would die slowly, since he Muked up the most. Bodies later turned up tossed out in the woods somewhere, partially eaten by wilds. So, pardon my annoyance when I respond just a byte negatively to your happy-go-lucky, giggly, air headed attitude, princess."

Sigma clicks as Hope tries to calmly recount why she's happy all the Muking time. "Interesting story, princess. I like the part where you found a new family. You should tell that part to Damian. He'd love it. Oh wait. He's dead. Because your loving family killed him."

Rasa shakes his head to clear his mind. He had been flashing back to the day his parents were taken away from him. This spooky manor made him quite uncomfortable. "Talk down, take down, let's just get this over with."

Jackson smirks, "Smart choice. I look forward to working with you. With my help you'll become even more powerful than you already are." He says holding out a pokeball to place the Elekid in. "At the moment, I need you in here for now." He says.

Assuming the Elekid goes in the pokeball (guessing since I got his stats), Jackson turns to Zigzagoon, "Finish the other one." He says calmly, "Then look for any drops."

Using however many attacks to just finish off the Elekid and kill it. Because I'm evil and weakness isn't cool. If it is weak enough to be one-shotted it isn't worth living.

Your guide leads you back towards the Courtyard, or at least near the courtyard. She stops outside of a hall leading out. "Last chance to turn back, either way this is as far as I go."

You make your way up the stairs into a rather dusty attic. The Gengar is no where to be seen, though the dex's radar gives away his position. It steps out from beind a tower of boxes when it realizes it's useless for it to hide. A large smile plastered on it's face.

Jackson
Along with the berries you find a small electric device sitting near where the Elekid were. a quick check on your dex reveals it to be a tiem called a Electrilizer.

Hax starts speaking in poke "so this is your pad huh?" looks around for clues and conversation topics "not bad not bad at all." starts to float towards the middle of the room "so do you have a name or should I just call you Mr. smiles?"

Brent checks the gengar's health with his scouter and then surveys the rest of the room with his silph scope. he is also looking for clues any thing that can get the gengar to come peacefully or let rocket set up a base here

Clay looks around for a window, hole in the wall, something. If this goes bad, he needs to get out. Fast.

Sigma grumbles an insult that would make for a good pun but unfortunately is blocked by the forum filters probably. "Fine, courtyard now."

Rasa can't take his eyes off of the Gengar. That smile...is...so haunting...

After Clay is done looking, results or no, he gets an idea. If this Gengar is a Ghost, then it can go through walls, right? If he could get this form, escape would become a non-issue in the future. Grinning, he takes the form of the Gengar.

He almost face palms as the dumb kid tries to talk to it.

"Look, Porydumb. Let the adults handle this, k?" he says, striding in front of the Porygon.

"I apologize for my acquisition of your form," he says, speaking in Gengarian. "I thought that perhaps you would have secrets you would not wish everybody to know, and thought perhaps speaking in your native tongue would be easier for the both of us. So tell me, what have you brought us to the attic for? Our death? Your enjoyment? Or is there something more to you?"

He doesn't mention the Luxury Ball yet; while he has his suspicions, that may simply make the Ghost angry.

Any TM/Tutor/Egg moves on him? I plan on storing. Would it store as a Gengar or a Haunter as that is what the Species Line would be at level 20?

Melody gives a sincere smile to the Purrloin. Are you sure you don't want to take my offer? Lots of things to see in our journeys. Wukong starts chattering in about how much fun they could have together, messing with people and getting into trouble, seeing how his trainer gets out of said trouble. What Wu said, She added not entirely sure of what he actually said. Must get lonely here once in a while.

The Gengar loks bewteen those trying to talk to him and closes his eyes nodding, "Fun of course! It gets boring here alone since the old owner passed away. How ever I haven't been entirely alone. I have some friends to keep me company, that and snoopers every now and then." It chuckles after it gets done with it's explanation.

He has TM moves, and you would store as a Gengar. His TM move is Drain Punch.

[Arcran]

"Fun? Now that is a coincidence!" he exclaims, still using Gengarian. He gets in closer and whispers.

"Look, I have an idea. How about we mess with the kid with the Porygon. He's an easy target, easy to mess with. Whatcha say? It'll be fun!"

Hax now very annoyed at the ditto decides not to be one upped by a glorified lab rat

"Oh if its fun you want then you should come with us! Me and Brent here" gestures at the trainer "-get into all sorts of trouble and mayhem in the name of fun!" Hax then proceeds to attempt to regale the gengar with tales of Celadon pranks, Game Corner heists, and Team Rocket missions.

Melody gives a bit of a sigh. Very well. She then broke the link with the Purrloin and gave a nod to Sigma, hoping he understood the signal.

Rasa stares at the pair of Gengars with a mixture of confusion and frustration. He would wait a bit longer, but sooner or later a stray blast of energy might hit one of them in the face.

The Gengar smiles and laughs through it's teeth at both as it sinks into the floor. a moment later it comes back hold a small present and hands it to The other Gengar.

Jackson
Continuing on your way you soon arrive at the town you were sent too. Lance was not joking when he called it a small hick town. The main heart of the city was a few stores and houses on a single street, the rest was mostly farm and ranch land for those living here. Yes it truly was a humble little podunk place. The obvious tent for where the contests were to be held stood out easily from the rest of the areas structures. Well, at least they have a Pokemon center here.

[Arcran]

Clay grins. Either it was a real present, or it would blow up in his face. If worst came to worst, he could shift quick and dodge the blast.

Floating away from the others, preferably behind a box or other obstructing obstacle, Clay opens the package.

Present
With a resounding POP! confetii is blown all over the attic, along with streamers and other party favors. The Gengar falls to his back and front rolling with laughter at the sight.

[Arcran]

Clay starts at the burst, but grins widely, pulling a piece of confetti out of his spikes. Confetti. Amateurish, but effective.

"You got me good," the Ditto says, testing out the Aura to talk. "Now you want to play a really funny joke? That human is absolutely obsessed with that Pokedex. I swear, if he could make love to that little machine, he would. Hows about I distract the techno-duck thing and you swipe it? It'll be funny. If you have more of the confetti, we can make it even more interesting."

Melody attempts to capture the purrloin so she doesn't have to end up carrying it in her pack.

She places the pokeball away and proceeds towards the courtyard. Work on your sales pitch wukong. The monkey then replied with some chattering and folded it's arms, facing away from it's trainer.

"Ha! that reminds me of the time I triggered the jackpot on that old lady the only thing better than the look on her face was the mad looks on the staffs face. your owner must have been one funny guy."says Hax

Jackson frowned as he looked around at the town. Had he known the town would be this uncool he wouldn't have shown up. Still, he had a mission to do and as much as this town might suck he wasn't going to throw it all away.

Annoyed at going to such a lame place, Jackson headed into the tent. As he got close however he took a deep breath and put on a fake smile and his charming, suave, cool personality. As he walked into the tent he smiled, "Wassup!" He said to the people present, "Oh man! I am really excited to be here! Sign-ups located here?" He asked with a friendly charming smile.

Jackson
The man near the signup table looks at you, sizing you up before nodding, "Signups are ova here kiddo. Just list the competition you wanna join and the type. He pushes the signup sheet acros the table for your inspection.


Manor
At the mention of the word owner the Gengar's trademark smirk falls along the edges to a frown. It plops down on the floor and looks at it's feet.

Temple
The way seems clear, now without your guide you are free to travels as you wish in the temple.

surprised by the gengar's change in expression Hax attempts to comfort him "d-did I say some thing wrong" says Hax switching to as concerned a tone as a porygon can muster "oh yeah he passed away" the porygon floats over to the gengar and sets himself on the ground next to him "look I've seen a lot of faces but I hate to see sad ones so if there is anything I can do to help you feel better tell me" Hax pauses for a moment "and I mean anything be it taking a pie to the face, giving Brent a wedgie, blowing up small kitchen appliances in the backyard, even helping you spruce this place up. Your owner would have liked that wouldn't he?"

brent oblivious to the threat of impending wedgies raises an eyebrow at the scene

While going through the courtyard to reach the stairs to the second floor, Melody gives a quick glance around the courtyard for anything that might be important enough to bring back. She plans to give a more thorough search one the way back.

"You lost your owner?" Clay deduces. "The man in the picture? Look dude, we don't need humans. We're strong. You'll get over him quick. Muk, I had to get rid of my trainer myself. Come with us to Team Rocket; they'll make you so strong that you'll never need a Trainer again. And there's more of us; talking Pokemon I mean. We'll be your family, your team," he says, draping a ghostly arm over the Gengar.

[Major]

"Thanks man! You rock." Jackson says as he slides his shades up and glances over the list. He quickly signs up for a cool contest while glancing at what ranks and types there were to see if he was interested in any others.

Sigma looks around. The cat had said there was stuff here, after all.

The other contests are seemingly the same, nothing grabs your eyes about any of the competitors. The contest you have signed up for though seems to, if you are not mistaken, have 3 other contestants. Two of those judging from the names you are pretty sure are female.

Manor
The Gengar looks to his left anr ight, his eyes and epression hardening when he hears what Clay's says/thinks. He turns to the fau Gengar, looking ready to throw an attack but doesn't. he finally nods and stands up. He begins speaking Pokespeak (translated) "You want me to go with you guys huh? well I can't just leave this place, but I'll make a deal with you. If you can go and get rid of some of the new ghosts in the basement I'll let you Rocket people have a base here."

Temple
A quick glance around shows that the courtyard is a mess in and of itself. however you do find a small medkit and a pair of darkened shades. (medkit contains 1 revive and 1 potion). As the Purrloin said there is a way to the second floor from here in the form of stairs.

[Arcran]

"Deal," Clay says, turning into a Deino and heading towards the basement.

"You guys in?"

"in what?" asks Brent in confusion

"I'm in! Like I said any thing for a fellow prankster any idea what kind of ghosts they are? Brent being the caring guy he is likes to know this sort of stuff"says Hax to the gengar before returning to the rocketdex

once in the rocketdex Hax fills Brent in
gengar misses his owner and doesn't want to leave but he will let rocket setup base here if we go into the basement and knock some heads hax then draws an X over the basement and starts playing ghostbusters over the speaker

Melody takes up the medkit and shades, before continuing to the next floor.

[Major]

Jackson grins as he sees the name. He was great with getting women to have a hard time focusing by use of his charm and seduction. Casually he looked around to see if he saw any women who looked like their pokemon were cool.

As he glanced around he double checked what level the Cool Contest was.

As they near the basement Brent turns the music down, releases Heckler, tells Hax to watch and actively describe the radar to him, and gets out the silph scope in one hand, and his crowbar in the other in case the door needs to be pried open.

Manor
The radar goes off, pinging quickly as you near the basement, the door already open. The basement is a mess of cobwebs and debris, it seems like a tornado came through here.

Temple
The second floor is in better shape then the first. Apparently whatever fighting transpired did not reach here. The stairs creak as you ascend into a small room with a exit to the north and south.

Jackson
level of the contest is listed as a level 2 standard contest (standard rules apply with appeals and such). You spot the two women talking, they seem to know one another as they each appear to be sizing the other one up. Their Pokemon are already deployed. a Meowth and a Poochyna.

in the hall way Brent silently puts away the crowbar and signals for every one to hold up. he pulls out his rocketdex and motions for heckler to watch the door as he tries to pin point where in the room the ghosts are with the radar.

Jackson walked up to the two and nodded, "Hey ladies? Excited about the contest?" He ask with a charming smile. "I got a feeling these contest are going to rock the house!"

Sigma moves onward, hiding in Melody's dex again. Ooh, wonder what she's got stored here.

Take 20 since there is no hurry at all, should translate to about 3 minutes trying to figure out how to access information.

He must really like it in there. Melody commented as she continued forward through the north exit.

Inside the dex, Sigma comes across a number of folders that seems to have pictures Melody has taken over the course of her travels before she joined team rocket. The pictures mostly consist random locations and people, no of real importance. Probably just people who she meet while traveling. As Sigma continues to search he comes across a password protected folder.

I would go on to tell what's in the folder but i'm not entirely sure if sigma would try to bypass the password or not.

Passwords. Cute. Hopefully it wasn't like what that old b***h of a Psychic Ennis used. Something a bit more clever at least.

Accessing the folder, Sigma sees a number of pictures of random naked people, both male and female all of legal age of course. The thing is, they all seem to be taken by the person in the picture. Some taken via reflect in a mirror others are taken by holding the camera at various angles. There was even one video of a woman doing a exotic dance on a pole, although the camera seems to be flimsily handled. There doesn't seem to be any indication on the dex to explain why these files are on here, but you can tell they were taken on the dex and not sent to her.

Eh, seen worse. Odd that they are all taken on the dex. And clearly were not sent. So either she has a LOT of- wait, Snatcher. Heh, if only Damien were here to know this. Could tell him, watch his trainer fail to hit on the sometimes hot Body Snatcher. Ah...good times. Well, memorizing that password. Could be fun to use if he had to. Wait, maybe...could have some fun with that. Change the password on her... Or could totally set her up with some ACTUAL security on her phone... Nah, leave it as is. She's a friend for now, and would know it was him. Lock it and send the pictures to the bosses if she Muks around with him, but not now. Sigma closes the folder, and sits quietly in the phone, listening to the phone speakers.

Both of the women blush as you approach, no doubt your slick charms have worked on them. "Why thank you, We've never seen you around here before. Do you preform often?"

Manor
The radar seems to indicate that the largest amount of ghosts (2) are in the upper left corner of the room, although another is near the door.

Temple
Entering through the north you spot a hallway, a large R is painted red on teh wall to indicate that a rocket had been here. Slashes in the walls indicate a battle. from up ahead you can here the *shink* sound of something being ground or sharpened on a stone.

The dex buzzes and a notification of a text appears. -Best we be careful. Sounds like metal or chitin be ground against a rock. Got any fires? Would be good.-

[Major]

"Usually in the bigger cities, this is my first time performing at this town." Jackson says glancing around before looking at each of them, "But when I heard how beautiful the women were here I had to come see if it was true. Sure enough, it seems this town has the most beautiful women around. How about you two? Are you both as skilled as you are beautiful?"

Brent shows the radar to clay and rasa. he points at the one by the door and then at him self. he then points at the two in the corner and then back at clay and rasa. hoping they get the idea he bursts in to the room and pitches a curve ball with his mechanical arm at the one near the door.

Melody reads the notification on the dex and nods to Wukong.Be ready, we might have to deal with the other pawniard. As Melody cautiously continues along, Wukong climbs down off of her and proceeds to take point.

Your ball smashes into the creature as a sparkle emits from it's gemmed eyes. The glow in them increasing in anger. From the corner of the room appear two gas balls that form and smile wickedly.

Moving forward the sound increases in pitch until you find it's source. Entering a large room filled with many statues of creatures you've never seen before stands a woman clothed in white, she turns to you as you enter. The source of the scrapping looks up as well. A blue weasel-like Pokemon seems to have been sharpening a shell on a whetstone. "What business do you have here? This is a sacred place."

they blush again, obviously easy targets for flattery. The woman with the Meowth speaks first, "Well, not to brag but me and my Mewory have made quite a bit in the tournament circuits." The other one scoffs, "Not as much as me and Poochen, you guys always lose to us." *glare at each other*

"Oh you ladies both compete in the same competition?" He ask, "Wow, with two beautiful contestants it must be the most amazing of shows. What type of contest do you both do?"

"dang it!" says Brent as the ball malfunctions "helcker show sparkles here what happens when one messes with team rocket"

"Hey babe, hold up your phone!" As Melody hold put the phone, Sigma pops out of the device, still reflecting light like some sort of metal. "Ma'am, we are just people sent by our bosses to explore the ruins. I and my co-workers don't care about your superstitions. Now please let us go about our business or you will be attacked."

After holding up her dex for Sigma to pop out of, Melody scans the Dewott. What my partner said. We're here to learn and explore. No need for violence, unless we're given no choice of course. She said as she played with one of pokeballs hanging from her belt with her finger. Wukong keeps his eyes on the Dewott the whole time.
