What are fun Illusinoist like prc's or lil side effects that are not just +1 to spell ability and resist checks.

How about the one from Complete Mage. The one for specialist wizards (the name escapes me). If I recall, the illusion focused one got some nifty tricks.

Ever heard of the Shadowcraft Mage (Races of Stone)?

- Shadowcraft Mage (Races of Stone) is one of the most powerful choices for an Illusionist, and when used in conjunction with Earth Spell and Heighten Spell is very high power.

- Master Specialist (Complete Mage) is a decent option; at level 4, you gain +2 to all Illusion DCs, at level 7 you gain Concealment after casting any Illusion spells, and at 10th level all Illusion spells you can are automatically Still, Silent, and receive the benefits of Eschew Masterials. This is on top of a caster level boost, and the ability to add additional Illusions to your spell book on top of what you normall get.

- If you're using the Illusion Master Alternate Class Feature (available here (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/specialistWizardVariants.htm)), the Magelord (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20050202a&page=2) can be an interesting choice (as it allows you to effectively cast any Illusion spell you know spontaneously). One can arguably qualify for this class using the Divine Oracle, which prevents you from losing caster levels.
