I don't think anyone checks my blog, so I thought I'd make a thread instead. I'm drawing more frequently now, but due to work and updating my website, other stuff kinda gets pushed to the sidelines. I'll try to update whenever I can.

Anyways, I wanna start off with this page I just completed yesterday. It's just a redraw of an old page to get a feel for the new style I want use in an upcoming comic. Took me two hours to complete. I'm somewhat pleased with it, altho it's a ****ty rip-off of Daigo Ikeno. I'm still gonna go with it. :smalltongue:

I thought about colouring the spell effects (which is blue) but it didn't sit right with me. Not sure how to explain it. Maybe it's the hue of it, but I think maybe I'll just stick to red being the only colour visible.

Took you long enough to get a art thread going. :smallwink:
(I didn't even know you have a blog. >_> )

That being said... i enjoy seeing the rough works of others, as it makes it easy to study their strokes. Good for stealing them for my own purposes.

My blog is actually the front page of my website, but it's still fairly new, it's only been up for 2 months. I think most people just bookmark my comics instead.

Heheh, we're all stealing off someone, this piece is already a derivative of the aforementioned Daigo Ikeno, albeit an unconcious one.

Also, custom brushes can make for some fun special effects. :D

Working on a new image for my banners. Still not yet complete tho, she's lacking her tattoos which I have yet to design properly.

Had me thinking for a moment if that's really a female, admitedly.

Good color work there, but the face doesn't quite fit the body, methinks, given how wide those shoulders are.

Not used to muscle ladies? :smalltongue: Hmm, I could square off her jaws some more or give her cheekbones more definition.

You haven't checked my gallery recently, hm? :smallwink: (I saw that remark coming from a mile away.)

Other people who's face doesn't fit the body: This dude (http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/0/3693/239872-castlevaniajudgement8_super.jpg). Not a very manly man, as you probably know. :smallamused:

Umm, no I haven't, I really should... Of course you should have, you drew Melna in the Unsuckening, how the hell did that slip my mind? Must be on automatic, my friends have been giving me hell over her lately. >_>

Oooh, I can one up that one! My girly face paper doll!

It's been a while since my last post, I felt the stuff I did wasn't up to standard for a public post, but here's something now. The antogonist for my upcoming comic. He's called the Devourer.

I present... Elven James Marsters! Ok, he's actually a character of my comic, I didn't mean to make him look like Marsters, he just turned out that way. :smalltongue:

I see he is one of the cool ones, as shown by the eye scar.

(How are all these people getting scars like that, including without damaging their eyes most of the time...)

And thanks, mistformsquirrl.

Oh ok then.

(How did he get hit to receive a scar as photogen as this one?)

Oh yeah, i'm totally going to steal your shading technique here for studying purposes again. Its roughness continues to be useful.

I'm gonna have to ask my writer about the scar, haha. And glad you think my stuff is worthy of study.

Those are some serious muscles. I actually liked the idea of a very muscular woman as a protagonist, since they aren't common in media.

Overall, they are very, very good. Wish I had your skills (I know it's just a matter of practice, but I don't have the time or patience to get that good.)

EDIT: Spoilering image.
