I may just be a bit dull, but I'm having great trouble in trying to visualize Legend's "Hallow" setting... It's formed of plate that are connected by bridges, and formed into tetrahedrons...Or something like that. Can someone explain it to me, or even better, provide a world map?

Here's a link to the .PDF file for the setting, as a reference.

As I understand it, Hollow is not entirely unlike a dyson sphere. So, the way I envision it is sort of like this: first, let's start with a plate. They're big tetrahedra that float around- easy enough. Each plate can have unique environments, and may be bounded by additional plates, forming a tessellating pattern of environs (connected by trusses and bridges- the plates don't seem to touch for the most part). This looks something like this

except made of tetrahedrons rather than flat hexagons, along the lines of this

I also imagine they have some curvature, plus any mirror arrays to direct light. There are also be multiple layers, creating a series of nested sheets, presumably growing smaller or larger based on the configuration (spherical, flat, etc.).

These multi-layered arrangements form the constellations, and transit is achieved via the semi-automated airships. At the "center" of each constellation, you would find the Angel, which consists of a large superstructure of varying description, though all consist of the same materials and are about the same dimensions.

The overall arrangement of constellations would be kind of like this

where all the squares are constellations, there are probably more of them, and they look a lot cooler. The arrangement is also more aesthetic, at least in my head.

Also note that the "top" of the plate is the given surface with the environment; whereas the other three faces have the runes that keep them aloft and whatnot.

Hopefully I got that right, as I know the authors are lurking here somewhere...

Well, thank you. I have a bit of difficulty visualizing things, at least as complicated as that.

So...The gods that made the world of Legend were just playing a game of Settlers of Catan?

Now I'm imagining a knight refusing to deal with bandits or invasions for multiple years because they weren't given the kingdom's entire supply of food in payment. And nations never going to war, except with barbarians.
