I was wondering what all of the ways to get magic items are? The ways I know of are buying the item, crafting the item, getting something else to craft the item, wishing for an item, and getting something else to wish for an item.

Are there any spells or methods by which magical items can be acquired?

You forgot the golden rule:

Kill monsters and take their stuff.

For non permanent magic weapons you could use permanency (:smalltongue:) and greater magic fang, etc.

Not sure what you want to classify it as, but as an OA samurai you get the Ancestral Daisho class feature which lets you sacrifice wealth to unlock upgrades to your ancestral katana as you level. Similar idea with the Ancestral Relic feat from BoED.

Finding the item as part of loot for a successful challenge. If your GM is okay with the item existing, but doesn't want there to be a MagicMart xe might allow to seek out an appropriately gribbly monster known to have the item as part of its horde.

There's also a few magic items that give you different magic items. For example, drawing the Key or Sun from a Deck of Many things. A Robe of Useful Items can net you a potion or a scroll, if you roll right. There are also some specific items associated with certain fashions, it's still close to 'buying' the item, but you use prestige points instead of gold. (All examples are Pathfinder)
