What do you think about using polymorph , to heal yourself or others?

Seems really, really inefficient. A druid of the same level can cast SNA IV to summon an unicorn, which can give loads more healing.

It is still mage healing, which isn't so easy to come by. I've used it as I could/had to, going all the way back to 1e.

With polymorph you heal as if you got a full night rest. so 8 hp a on attribute point? better uses for polymorph, and 4th levels spells in general

Isn't this what Trollshape is for?

If I've got it prepared and it's time to pass out for the night, I'll probably turn into a troll and enjoy that attribute point healed.

A Wizard for the most part has to use summons, items, and/or UMD to get healing. Just like most non-divine casters. WotC was very vigilant against giving Wizards usable healing magic, because heaven forbid they invalidate another class with their spells :smalltongue:

If you're good-aligned, you can use that one spell in BoED that gives you a Unicorn for a year. If it ever keels over (or you need to dump it for some reason), re-cast it.
